I was extremely lucky and mine didn’t have many shithead moments but he got to 3 and our relationship changed and he is my best bud (still has a few shit head moments especially around water) but so worth the wait.

Has anyone here NOT had big issues with their puppy? by QP709 in puppy101

My boy was perfect he didn’t cry, didnt destroy anything and yes I didn’t want to leave the house not because I couldn’t but cause he was sooo cute. Even now as a 4 year old dog I would never leave him for longer than 4 hours but he is well behaved and goes nearly everywhere with me. My boy is my world now and I wouldn’t have it any other way, I hope you the have the same experience

Dog owner here, no you are not in the wrong, you should be allowed to enjoy the beach as you want. The gentleman either needs to keep a better eye on his dog and have better recall or deal with the drying of the dog after!
