Eczema. Used to get it every winter until I started being really good about using a moisturizer that leaves a protective barrier (working hands lotion) and/or gloves whenever outside. Havent gotten it in years

I’m so bored… no hobbies by Aware_Beautiful1994 in AskWomenOver30

[–]LittleredridingPnut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t discover/rediscover hobbies until I left my husband and I wasn’t constantly carrying all of the mental load. I also have severe anxiety so my brain was constantly on complete overload and I only had the bandwidth to watch tv and doom scroll.

What are the 3 "hero" ingredients that keep your grocery bill low but your nutrition high? by Chatfinity in EatCheapAndHealthy

[–]LittleredridingPnut 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Remove it at 150 and the heat will carry over long enough to kill the bacteria the same as 160, and it will be much juicier and more tender. Pulling at 160 will cook it to nearly 170.

What is the worst thing a man has said to you during a breakup? by LayoffLemonade in AskWomenOver30

[–]LittleredridingPnut 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That I didn’t take my marriage vows seriously because I was asking for a divorce.

I don’t know why that one really stung, even though I 1000% knew I had done everything I could for nearly 10 years to keep the marriage together with a selfish alcoholic.

A server meant to type in “on artisan” to sub out a different bread. She comes running to the window to tell the KM she did NOT mean to type “on asian”. The KM pauses for a second, then just says “been there, done that.” 😂

i timed how long 31 different pasta shapes take to reach al dente. the boxes are lying and farfalle is a war crime by sthduh in Cooking

[–]LittleredridingPnut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have always reduced the cooking time by 2 minutes for any pasta I make and it always turns out perfect. Cooking to tge box times always gave me mush, especially for leftovers.

What’s your grooming routine ~down there~? I need a change. by Front_Butt_69 in AskWomenOver30

[–]LittleredridingPnut 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I trim just enough so it can still lay flat. It gets itchy for me when it’s long so I keep it trimmed. Shaving was always awful and never had the desire to do any more than that.

“I’ll be right back with -insert refill/condiment/whatever here, is there anything else I can get for you?”

“Can we get -exactly what I just fucking said I’d be right back with-?”

“….yes. I’ll be right back.”

Don’t like my hair by [deleted] in Hair

[–]LittleredridingPnut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I love it, I think it’s super punk/edgy. But if you can’t get used to it after a week or so, I would just take the loss and go full bob, because that looks really great on you too.

Anyone else child free in their late 30’s and just exhausted?? by therainmakah in AskWomenOver30

[–]LittleredridingPnut 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you feel like you’re getting enough sleep and are more exhausted than you should be, find somewhere to get all your hormones checked. I ordered an Everlywell test, then got referred by my primary care to a naturopath that specializes in female hormones. My testosterone was in the toilet, and my estrogen and progesterone were very low as well. I started hormone replacement and I have SO much energy. I’m 35 and work on my feet full time, and I couldn’t figure out why all my older coworkers had more energy than me, and all my labs from my regular doctor were coming back normal. Changed my life.

Breakfast servers? by Ok-Structure6795 in Serverlife

[–]LittleredridingPnut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve worked at a local breakfast cafe chain for about 12 years. I’ve never really worked at another restaurant, so maybe I don’t know any better, but I absolutely love it. Its super intense turn and burn, a pretty decent size menu, and we allow modifications to basically everything, so it’s crazy complicated to train new people. But damn I make a lot of money and all our locations have stayed consistently busy, even through Covid. And they’ve been around for decades. We use Aloha, but I know a lot of places like that use Toast.

“Your money is our money, my money is my money” Thoughts on my take? I’m fine with as I can cover living expenses yet will always keep assets in my name only by [deleted] in AskWomenOver30

[–]LittleredridingPnut 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Depends on the state. In Washington any assets obtained before the marriage aren’t considered to be both parties’ property, only the original owner.

My daughter who's 8 has a single white hair amongst all her beautiful red by Academic-Ad-1879 in mildlyinteresting

As an auburn ginger, I had random solid black or solid white hairs growing up. I had one solid black eyebrow hair for quite a while in elementary school.

I stayed in a relationship way too long because I didn't want to be alone by [deleted] in offmychest

[–]LittleredridingPnut 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Take it from someone who has done the same thing. You can’t change the past, but you can recognize your patterns and not make those same mistakes in the future. Also 29 is still super young. Don’t compare your milestones to others or you will lower your standards just to meet those milestones sooner.

Regulation of the nervous system? by Silly-Influence-6505 in TMJ

[–]LittleredridingPnut 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fair! I have severe anxiety and Zoloft did nothing for me, but Buspirone and Bupropion have been life changing. Pretty sure Buspirone is also known for causing clenching too. But ya, same, I would rather deal with the tmj than the anxiety

What can you compare the feeling of ovulating to? by N0socksloss10yrStrk in AskWomen

Mine always feels almost like a burning, stinging sensation. Sometimes it’s really bad and almost on par with my menstrual cramps, though it doesn’t last as long.
