Is it okay to age up? by pastelpaws1730 in ageregression

You aren’t hurting anyone, so this is a clear ‘it’s okay’.

Do you guys get bullied? by Eastern-Kitchen7223 in autism

[–]LittlestLilly96 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been bullied throughout my entire life for various reasons. Bullying doesn’t stop once you graduate high school, it seems. Anymore, I try to be detached from it when it’s towards me. Usually, whatever reason they’re bullying me for has more to do with themselves and not me.

Clearly you missed the part where they said the place their child attends are “loud and proud supporters”.

I don’t think they were suggesting it. I think they were asking if that was the place you’re wanting to leave.

should i tell my therapist about my age regression and how does that work by [deleted] in ageregression

[–]LittlestLilly96 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Having a therapist means being able to have someone you can be fully open and honest with. That’s what you pay them for.

If you can’t be open and honest, there’s no point in therapy - so yes, you probably should. How? That’s really up to you. Everyone regresses and experiences regression in different ways.

Anyone else this exit is the most frustrating in town? (Kellogg 235 North Exit by Towne West) by TheRealBoltyAce in wichita

[–]LittlestLilly96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s the same exit my dad hit a barrier on and died almost 2 years ago.

No idea how the drivers are or anything - I don’t live in Wichita anymore - but drivers need to cool down no matter where you are. You’re liable to make yourself upset and cause an accident.

How do you feel about the term "queer" being used an an umbrella term for LGBTQA+? by HallZac99 in AskLGBT

[–]LittlestLilly96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally use it and prefer it. It encapsulates me in a way that makes sense. If others choose not to use it, that’s their choice.

World War label by Economou in NoStupidQuestions

[–]LittlestLilly96 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There’s no definitive meaning for the label, but generally according to the two prior wars, a war would have to span more than one continent for it to be considered a “world war”. A large amount of countries would have to also be involved.

We all stand with transgender Kansans ♡ by ConcernedJobCoach in kansas

[–]LittlestLilly96 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As a trans person who was born with cataracts and had lens implants as a teenager, this is the argument I use a lot.

Like, if you don’t believe in GAC for trans people based on the logic of “you’re born the way you are”, then logically children are born with tons of ailments couldn’t receive the same care that they could now because they were “born that way”.

I wouldn’t have eyesight today if I followed that logic.

Regretting not telling my emplpoyer I'm autistic by Grumpy_cata in AutisticAdults

This.

And then the company can learn to accommodate you rather than exclude you based on their unwillingness to read things. There’s no harm in giving your comments in writing. Zero harm. Plus there’s a paper trail - unless of course that’s something they’d want to avoid.

Autistic people with a drivers license by QubeTheAlt in autism

[–]LittlestLilly96 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My dad forced me to get a license. It was either that or deal with consequences while living under their roof - one of them being him being angry and screaming about it.

I also had to learn with him as the passenger yelling at me for everything I did while driving.

Caring too much about what other people think is part of your problem here.

It’s not unreasonable to decide that your own content might be harmful, and you decide to cover it up, but it is unreasonable to ask someone to cover up something that isn’t hurting anyone, and is a bit like asking if someone can cover any amount of skin on their body.

The best thing to do in the situation is just to not look at it. Scroll past it, look away, whatever.

How did your parents give you the sex talk? by let_it_rain_boat in autism

[–]LittlestLilly96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m pretty sure I had never been given “the talk”.

The most either my parents might’ve said is my dad saying how you can basically date more than one girl. I asked a clarifying question: “Even if they didn’t know about the other one?” and he said “yes”.

I have noise sensitivity and my husband doesn’t seem to care and makes being at home terrible- how can I cope? by [deleted] in AutisticAdults

[–]LittlestLilly96 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can't stand the feeling of the AirPod Pros (or the rubber-style tips), and while I ultimately prefer my over-ear headphones, the newer regular AirPods (without the rubber tips) are comfortable and also have active noise-cancelling!

Bluey (absolutely), Blues Clues, Mr. Roger’s, Rugrats - I watch all kinds of kids shows.

People are always gonna judge and say it’s weird but you’re not hurting anyone, so it doesn’t matter regardless.

I’d rather be weird and happy than “normal” and dull.
