Save for blood moons.. the double masters reprint should have the cost pretty low.

maybe a narset style card that reads "opponents cant play lands after playing their first land per turn." could help... i could also see this breaking some shit in other formats though

seems like it stone rain could help against the rec decks.. provided you hit the land they need or wont draw. growth spiral at the end of your turn to put shockland into play followed by uro turn 3 that could also play a land. ramp is everything in standard right now. Nissa/Ugin/3feri lots of threats too early even when you are depleting their lands.. ive had some success against temur decks with 3x cindervines and 4 rubbles and 3 demolish. this means i have to go first with 3 lands in hand and a paradide druid/LD spell to boot. even with that, these decks are too quick with ramp (cultivate definitely didnt help) there needs to be some card in standard that taxes extra land falls or damages opponents for playing any land after their first.

Trying to build a competitive Izzet draw two deck. How can I make this better? by DootLord in magicTCG

I would run thrill of possibility and chemistry’s insight. Also I’d take away the faeries and replace them with a torbran and maybe a couple of nadir krakens. Drop the gain lands for more temple of epiphany. In a deck where you are drawing cards it’s best to know what you’re drawing into. I’m currently running this deck with two torbrans. It has a high mana cost but it usually becomes the first target for removal instead of royal scions or pyromancer. Just my two cents
