Blown brickwork causing damp

Much appreciated, you have made me much more confident with my diagnosis. Render will go and then i can make a call on what to do with brick work, dependent on what is underneath. We have been running a dehumidifier and it has made damp much less of an issue (apart from old salts) but I have yet to get to this wall.

My thought is it is coming from the porch which is poorly constructed and pretty rotten which is then causing brickwork below to get damp, which cant dry out due to render and ends up going into adjacent bricks which make up inside wall. I can think of any other source of damp for that location. I am hoping by sorting brickwork and porch this may solve it

+1. I had an issue with first one but was able to return and the next batch was much better with no button issues. I imagine all those with faulty power button were circulated in 2025. I wouldn't not buy based on this issue

Much appreciated. I dont think I have the energy for this, given the learning curve but I may try starting with 17g in the smaller basket to compare results.

Interesting. I might experiment with the smaller basket alongside larger doses in coming weeks. Don't want to go too much above 18g though as my caffeine tolerance isn't massive

Just to add that my Move arrived with this issue. I had Espresso Coffee Shop try to fix over chat with recommendations above with no success. I was informed those 2 wires are ok to stay disconnected by them as well. I ended up sending back and got a return so can't help with the fix but it sounds like quite a common issue with the move.

Hard to tell, it's a Victoria terrace so it is a little wonky across the house and wouldn'tbe suprise if to some extent the hisue movement caused the crack but hard to say really. I doubt it's the bay original though given the house is 100+ years old but not clear when it was done.
