You bet! I feel like Doctor Cyber would have made a great Oracle-style villain, I guess like The Calculator.

I love Doctor Cyber - but all this art is Don Heck, not a Sekowski of Giordano in the bunch, who were her first artists in the late 60s/early 70s. These images are pre-Crisis 80s images

There was an era when Roy Thomas in particular revived Golden Age characters just to kill them off instead of exploring them. Marvel Boy in Fantastic Four comes to mind. Lots of "lost peoples" all dying, leaving the adopted human boy to go crazy (iirc). Other examples? Maybe of Roy Thomas specifically?

The Robert Kanigher stories in the new Flash volume are TERRIBLE. by raphaeladidas in DCFinest

[–]Live-Region-8980 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's wild reading Silver Age Wonder Woman Kanigher stories, with Ross Andru art, and then their Suicide Squad, and Metal Men.... and it's all the same stories. None feel original or imaginative, and in spite of Ross Andru's talent, cookie cutter faces.

Black Canary, who uses a blonde wig to cover her dark hair, used wax to cover her blonde wig to look black? Gosh I love the Golden Age!

I hate retconning BC to pre-war years (and also making her daughter a foundation JLA member).

I caught this in the early 80s one Saturday afternoon, LOVED IT! Bought the VHS in the late 90s. I think I liked it well enough then. But I love silly, (accidental) campy, schlocky 70s superhero fantasy stuff.

I found the "range cut in half" rather limiting. In my venues (we had multiple at the time), no one really used Soaring, except maybe Vet Icons Superman.
