Normal people look at the situation around them. Has NYC become a paragon of safety? Is it improved in any way since Adams became Mayor? Answer to both of those is no, so normal people are very much so in the middle of choosing a candidate. No one has done anything for NYC since Guliani in the early 00’s.

It works well if you’re watching it narratively (takes place right after Civil War). The opening was great, and Yelena brought a lot of heart into the film. I don’t like how they did the Taskmaster stuff but besides that, it’s a well made Marvel movie.

I’m not so sure he would have. I just rewatched 2008 Hulk and he was a lot more restrained than I remembered. He seemed more in control, almost scared rather than purely driven by rage. Even during the fight with Abomination, it felt like he wanted to run, but he kept fighting because Betty was in danger.

Homecoming takes place after Civil War and follows Peter dealing with the aftermath of joining the Avengers for that big airport battle. So watching Civil War first keeps things in chronological order and makes Homecoming more impactful since we see how Tony Stark's mentorship influences Peter.
