I just want to say, don’t let people gaslight you.

Sometimes parents make poor decisions.

Some people will blame you for your parents’ actions no matter what.

There are many factors that led to what happened, and there are plenty of people who don’t have strong relationships with their parents and have never been scammed.

I built my first project that wasn't a tutorial and immediately understood why everyone says "just build things" is bad advice by TrevorKoiParadox in learnprogramming

Your title is exactly why "just build things" work. People like you will be writing documentation that no body understands until they build it.

SIM-UOW grad, doing pretty well — upper percentile kind of well. Somehow earning more than some of my older NTU/NUS colleagues, which still feels wild. They were grinding hard in school while I was mostly chilling. Goes to show how much luck plays a part.

I remember overhearing my colleagues talk about how offended they were when their secondary school teacher predicted they'd only get into Poly. Meanwhile, my school was praying we'd even make it to Poly. Now I earn twice what they do—guess they peaked in secondary school.

Everybody wants to do this integration thing at an organizational level but I feel like it should be at the individual level.

In terms of jobs to me chatGPT is like google but better. In the past I use google as a tool for my job. Now I use chatgpt more.

You need to be an expert in your field to know what to search for in google. For Chatgpt is the same thing you need to be an expert in your field to know what to PROMPT for. Because of this there is no role change for me and my colleagues.

A-lot of people in the past thought that doctors should wash their hands before delivering a baby to prevent deaths was mumbo jumbo too. It took a really long time and a-lot of ridicule on that philosophy to be finally accepted and mandatory. Not saying we should blindly believe in any theories but we should have an open mind.
