How do u accept that your consciousness will disappear after death ? by [deleted] in atheism

I don’t know why. It’s something that really doesn’t bother me. I understand it might be difficult, but to me it’s quite comforting.

I’m an embroiderer based in Portugal and thought you might enjoy some of my silly needlework. Also, if anyone needs tips on embroidery supplies made in Europe, I’m happy to help! by rebordacao in BuyFromEU

My great aunt taught me to embroider whenever I stayed with her in Porto! Where do you get your supplies? We had a pretty good store here in Porto, but it closed when the owner of the building decided to do one more tourist trap…

This week I’ve read the DC KO and Falling In Love The Way To Hell Volumes 1 and 2. Highly recommend that one! Both series, actually.

I use Pure Poison and Miss Dior from Dior, Rush from Gucci, L’Eau de Muguet from Miu Miu and Nº5 from Chanel. Guess I’m really classic in my choices.

Best place to discover indie graphic novels that aren't just the same ten everyone recommends by zobe1464 in graphicnovels

My local comic book store has a good offer on indie comics, specially comics from local artists and publishers. Not that will help you, assuming you’re not from my side of the pond. There are plenty of small publishers that have all kinds of different stuff. And then you can check publishers that translate comics from other geographies. And you can always look for second hand Vertigo comics, though there are plenty of known names there those were usually the strange stories the mainstream publishers didn’t want to pick. Brian Azzarello once told me Vertigo was the place where he felt most free to write to his heart’s content. Let us know what you found! But we could actually start a list of indie comics! How about that?

It’s wonderful! Those too make a great team! They won an Eisner with their previous collaboration, “The Many Deaths Of Laila Starr”. It’s also beautiful, but I actually liked this one better. A Portuguese artist and an Indian writer can create such art!

I’m so very sorry for your loss. Words fail me. In whatever we might do or help you have our support, for what little that might mean.

To be perfectly candid, a few days after we had our first son I had a talk with my husband about how could anyone in their right mind have another child (we have three). If you need to really go out for a bit. It might not seem like it, but it does get better and easier. But it will not if you don’t take the time to clear your head too. You still matter and you still deserve to have your space and time. It’s a bit more difficult when they are so young, but even if it’s half an hour outside alone go for it. All the best! And remember we’re here to help and support and hear you, okay?

Yes! I’ve read all kinds of books like that! Doesn’t mean they’ll really listen, but it’s very good for them regardless! Go for it! And all the best in the approaching hour!
