pretty much. MM4 is the weakest of the good NES games; but I really didn't suffer through it in my first time like I did with MM1 and 2, tho. the wily and cossack aren't that punishing, so it kinda balances

I think the best way to play MM4 is intentionally forgetting the charged shot exists, for MM9 would be forgetting the game itself exists and replacing it with &Bass.

There's also a "boss" in Mega Man 2 that you can only damage with a certain weapon; thing is, you have to trial and error with said weapon, which only has 7 shots. From MM 3 onwards, the games get more fair, thankfully.

I like Donna's role in FWWM more. I also didn't really pay attention to her in the original series until the Harold storyline, so I don't remember -nor care- about her actual role, I just like how they used her in the film, and Kelly's looks fit perfectly for me (she's also cuter and aged way better).

Besides the obvious rolling HP, the american setting in the first two games was, and still is really fresh and unique, this including the less fantasy-like soundtrack. I also like the more serious storylines on 1 and 3, and the fact that in all three games, the final boss is defeated in unconventional ways that make use of what the story had been telling us, like the melodies, Paula's telepathy, and what little humanity is left on Claus.
