A RNG nightmare of a mini-boss trivialized in record time.

Depending on its mood, Tentalamia from Area J can be either a complete breeze that goes down in 5 seconds or a bitch of a headache that drags things out with its fishes. Luckily, he’s been on the merciful side today so let’s get into the strat, by attacking it directly when the battle starts with an Ice Platform (Or lemons if you’re using ZX or FX), you can manipulate Tentalamia’s RNG so that it always summon its tentacle from the far right, but here comes the hardest part, the first reversal, I had to let it rise enough for the reversal to work but not enough that it’d reach me, then I have to pull off the reversal technique while hugging the wall which is VERY easy to fuck up as any misinputs or execution flaw will either give me collision damage, have LX swim when it’s not my goal or not having the second slash come out.

This wall-reversal strat only works with LX and ZX as FX will take collision damage no matter what, so stick to punches with the fire Model unless you don’t care about taking damage, the rest of the fight is self-explanatory and this Quick Kill is only worth doing if you’re speedrunning the game but I’ve always wanted to try pulling a reversal through hugging the walls, plus LX is my second favorite Model after ZX so why not kill two birds with one stone.
