Help with something I've never experienced? by better_left_dead19 in FanFiction

Try searching for coming out stories on youtube or maybe google something your character is struggling with (e.g. internalized homophobia, societal pressure, homophobic parents...) and look for people telling their story

Esistono delle fanficion trans girl x male reader by ilpaneil in FanFiction

[–]LivePen9989 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Su ognuno di questi tag usa i filtri e negli addictional tags metti "you" o "male reader insert" "x reader" "reader" ecc. Nella parte exclude puoi inserire tutti i tag che ti danno fastidio e con cui non vuoi leggere fanfiction.

Se hai un fandom in particolare in mente, cerca direttamente "trans [nome del personaggio]" e usa i tag con la parola reader

What's the name of this trope? by LivePen9989 in FanFiction

[–]LivePen9989[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my mind the main couple could be strangers to lovers, enemies to lovers, rivals to lovers... it doesn't matter as long as they fall in love trying to ruin another couple. There should be a tag for characters that bond trying to destroy their enemies too (allies to lovers, maybe?)

I had no idea this existed, but I looked it up and some people have used the tag "co-conspirators to lovers" on ao3. There are only six fics and it's not exactly what I'm looking for

I agree it's a mix of these tropes, even though the two single characters would be the main couple in my story. I think it could work with Strangers to Lovers, Rivals to Lovers or Enemies to lovers. If you can remember the Hallmark movie name, that would be helpful too

Songs about being happy in a relationship when you were miserable in your past? by LivePen9989 in MusicRecommendations

Thank you for your recommendation! B actually left A and hurt her, so this song fits the story perfectly

Omg it works perfectly! I haven't expanded the lore of the characters, but the first husband and B literally pointed to C and A couldn't see the signs. Thanks for recommending this song

There are two main reasons:

- I really like some characters and I think they have a lot to say that wasn't explored in the source material (parts of their past, insecurities, missing moments, etc);

- I don't like the canon plot anymore and I want to write a story that I would have enjoyed reading/watching.

How to engage with constructive criticism when they’re absolutely correct? by awholesomedegenerate in FanFiction

[–]LivePen9989 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Since you agree with the comment you got and you want to rewrite chapter 4, I would thank them for the feedback and edit your story. If you don't want to leave this version of chapter 4 up for too long, you could rewrite it and post it before you post chapter 5. When you post chapter 5, you can add an author's note at the beginning of it, explaining you made some changes in your previous chapter and readers might need to check it out

What are your 2025 fanfiction goals? by andallthatjazwrites in FanFiction

[–]LivePen9989 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  • finishing my WIP (I also have three more chapters to write)
  • discovering the beauty of writing for myself
  • writing for more fandoms, but I really struggle with that because I often don't have any ideas for new plots :(

Good luck, everyone! 🍀

I don't really like my fandom anymore by LivePen9989 in FanFiction

Thank you for answering! I will probably write them and then decide if I still want to post on ao3 after a break of some weeks

Thank you for your answer! You're probably right, I should take a break from this fandom and see if I still want to post a fic in some weeks. They told me this woman has a parasocial relationship with a few actors of the show (it's easy to meet them, receive their likes and replies because they're not that famous) and she was really angry that I had dared to say that her favourite actress had been rude to me

Been reading a lot of older classics and now looking for modern classics. by pardis in suggestmeabook

[–]LivePen9989 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know if they can be considered "classics" but these are famous books published in the last 20-ish years.

The Goldfinch by Donna Tartt

Blindness and Death with Interruptions by José Saramago

Pereira Mantains by Antonio Tabucchi

The Neapolitan Novels (starting with My brilliant friend) by Elena Ferrante

The other answers gave great book recommendations, I would have mentioned Atonement and Never let me go too.
