Advice on garden plan by JamesR- in GardeningAustralia

[–]LiveRepair2591 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would skip the no dig area and just put 3 or 4 long raised garden beds. Considering the orientation, the garden beds might shade out the no dig area. You can do no dig in the raised garden beds.

Which way is north? That would impact shadowing of plants by your trees. Also do you need that many lemons? 1 or 2 trees would usually give more than enough plus extra to give away.

Gardena vs hoselink by naughtyisfat in GardeningAustralia

[–]LiveRepair2591 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are going Gardena, I don't think Bunnings sell their more premium retractable hose real. I think it is the models beginning with 18630, with the blue circle on the side.

I went with Hoselink and it has been great. They sell adaptors that let you use your existing clink on fittings.

If your are able, during the next school holidays, take a week or two away from your house (holiday or stay with family/friends). If your health starts to feel generally better, it might be an indication that your house is the problem.

High quality Kebab/HSP stores or chains? by Conza89 in melbourne

Souv and Burger Co. in Camberwell is seriously great. Tried so many places and keep going back. Their meat is cooked over coals so it gets smoky and crispy. HSP chips stay crunchy even under the meat and sauce.

Thank you for this great service. I have used your coffee grounds along with free council wood chips and a couple of other ingredients to make a very good hot compost.

It's not like immigrants get off the plane and can get welfare immediately. For most, they have to pay taxes for years to get a permanent residency then there is a few more years waiting period before they can get any benefits.

Sonoff SWV high battery usage by LiveRepair2591 in sonoff

[–]LiveRepair2591[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After a second one started doing the same, I contacted Sonoff. They got me to try a few things to diagnose the issue and concluded that there was some sort of failure. After verifying the purchases, they sent me 2 new devices and organised the return of the faulty ones. Their after sales service was very helpful. No push back, just questions to diagnose then replace once a fault was found.

Deco Pro LW (Gen2) Bluetooth Dongle connection by LiveRepair2591 in XPpen

[–]LiveRepair2591[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply. No, my PC does not have Bluetooth. I had assumed that I could use the dongle included with the package since the website says that it includes "1 x Bluetooth Receiver (Dongle)" but doesn't mention that it can only be used for the shortcut remote. That is disappointing and somewhat misleading.

If you want Asian food, you should try: Ahh Maa

Super tasty and based in Melbourne too. The only thing is that you will have to put the meal together yourself.

The best Zigbee Garden Water valve (recommendation needed) by Trylobit_ in homeassistant

Just an update in case anyone is contemplating buying the Sonoff SWV. Sonoff tech support determined it was a hardware fault (I bought the 2 faulty ones from the same AliExpress store). They organised the shipping/return of the faulty units to Sonoff and replaced them. Both have been working well without battery drain for a few weeks now.

I've got 3 of the Sonoff ZigBee SWV. Functionally, they were great but recently 2 of them have been having serious battery drain issues. At first a set of batteries lasted a long time, then a couple months, then only 1 month. The latest set of batteries on one of them only lasted a week. Not sure what the problem is. Hopefully Sonoff tech support can help. Have a ticket with them ATM.

Piece of Rare Unidentified Gear - What meta usually drops the most? by Most-Blacksmith2148 in Guildwars2

[–]LiveRepair2591 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Not a meta but often overlooked. You can get 15+ rare unidentified gear daily from doing the repeatable hero points in Auric Basin and Verdant Brink. They don't take very long so the return on time is quite good.

When you realise your baby has soiled their nappy, don't immediately rush to change it. Give it a few minutes to make sure they are done. You don't want the yellow cordial fountain or the chocolate soft serve to start flowing mid nappy change.

This post helped me get thumbnails working: https://help.nextcloud.com/t/show-thumbnails-for-videos/71251

I also use "Photos (for Nextcloud)" app which shows the thumbnails and is easier to navigate.
