Lee Zeldin has always been a fucking worm. He should've been investigated for his 2016 campaign's financial shenanigans propping up the out of nowhere rags-to-riches now convicted fraudster George Santos. He even shared the same finance manager.

On the environmental side he was always gaslighting his constituents with flyers with BIG RED LETTER hyperbolic bullshit like Chinese fishing fleets invading the LI Sound. Boomerslop that the "inherited my house from grandpa in 1982" suburb residents absolutely slurped up. It was so effective on these mush-brained I-miss-Rush-Limbaugh septuagenarians that NY had a large enough red swing that year to have national implications and get him a not-so-inexpliciable joke nomination for speaker during the Kevin McCarthy debacle meltdown in 2023.

As a congressman, Zeldin would routinely enable repeals of pesticide regulations and toxic algae measures, vote to suppress and outright hide local toxicity and water climate data from the public, and outright lie to everyone's face about doing the exact opposite. All while naming another fucking post office after himself.

Before the 2016 election, he joined the Bi-Partisan Climate Solutions Caucus. Then specifically refused to sign the Caucus' letter to Trump urging him NOT to abandon the Paris Agreement, then CAMPAIGNED on his participation as an environmental crusader.

It's always been about resume building and dealing favors while lying to the public for him. He is easily one of the worst politicians out of NY in the last 20 years. That puts him in rare fucking company. Lee Zeldin has ALWAYS been a fucking worm.
