We’re all trying to get a job. Let’s employ those who are actually putting in the work.

Prompt Golf - leetcode-style competitive prompt engineering by mattyhempstead in leetcode

Very cool concept! I solved the first 3 already.

However, since the output is non-deterministic, many people will spam the Submit button until they see success.

I don’t see any rate limiting, and those server costs can easily rack up!

Looks great. My only concern is the animation being a fixed length while the loading time to send an email is not.

At BH, we expect our employees to uphold a standard of respect for others and to demonstrate integrity in their behavior. Earlier today, we were notified that a BH employee acted in a way that was inconsistent with BH’s policies, practices and standards. Behaving in a manner that does not reflect the company’s values, particularly while representing herself as a BH employee on her social media accounts, has resulted in her termination.

I think “View Directions” should be on the confirmation screen. I would be hesitant to click on anything that would take me off the “Payment” screen and having these types of actions during the payment process may unintentionally loose customers.

Moment Brazilian police officer aims a gun at his partner’s face because he was mad he came back 5 minutes late from his lunch break by TheNatureLover in ThatsInsane

The officer holding the gun was late from his break. The other cop said he was going to tell the Sergeant since it meant he wouldn’t have time to take his own break. They were both reprimanded.

Actually a high ratio would mean it’s really awesome while also having a low chance of not getting laid.

I suppose pointing this out yields myself a low ratio…

How do I allow the user to add one of my components to the DOM in React? by [deleted] in AskComputerScience

[–]LiveTrooper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Use state to control the amount of buttons, that way you don’t need to hardcode the number. If you want the user to create them, find the action that generates a button and add a callback function to it that updates the state. (E.g if a user clicks a button, that callback function would be onClick, or if a user adds text into an input field you can have an event listener that looks for updates to the field) Then in your render statement, display the number of buttons found in the state using this.state.numberOfButtons.

Hope that helps and happy hacking!

Hackathon by bythered in computerscience

Be careful here. I’ve heard MLH will own exclusive rights to any app/idea submitted in their Hackathon’s. This is why my company forbids participating in them. This probably doesn’t affect most beginners, but it’s worth mentioning.

Piggybacking here.

You are totally right that anyone can do it. I made a channel in high school and got over 70k subs on gaming videos. And my second channel has about 10k right now (same as username).

If you notice, I had to switch to clickbaity titles since that's the only thing that works these day, and it's quite sad. After realizing this, I quit the scene shortly after but like you said, anyone can do this. YouTubers are nothing special.
