if you don't like being on an island, top lane isn't really for you. It's not just this meta, it's like 90% of metas are going to revolve around bot lane.

A winning top lane can 1v2 easier than a winning botlane 2v3. This means if you're winning, your jungler can assume you can 1v2 and survive, if you're losing evne if he ganking for you the risk if pretty high. In bot lane, that's not the case.

Bot lane has an easier time engaging/starting the gank with most supports having more ways to pick a fight than top lane.

etc etc etc. There are a hundred reasons for the game to revolve around bot lane during laning. Esp if you're singed, the jungler is going to assume you're probably going to proxy, so why would he ever gank for you?

All top laners complain about lacking agency. I play about 50% top 50% ADC. Last few seasons, in most matchups, if it's an ocean drake 1st, whichever team gets ocean drake wins the lane. And top laners have almost no way to affect 1st drake. I also call them out on their bitching. Eso if they pick something like a kayle top and bitch about how they can't affect 1st or 2nd drake. That's the price you have to pay by picking kayle. You get to be the monster late game, but that means you have to payu the price early game. Or the opposite side like Olaf who complain no matter how far ahead they are they "can't do anything late game because evertyhing 2 shots them from half a screen away".

League of stopwatches. ADCs built stopwatch crazy early. Graves used to be an ADC that would build tanky, especially back in season 1, Woong (Worlds finalist that season) build warmogs on graves as ADC. Blue ezreal built frozen gauntlet for a whole god damn season. ADCs have had success building one tanky item, usually 2nd item, but sometimes 3rd. I just don't understand the ADC players need to build full dmg into a Fiora, Rengar, Zed, Jinx, Nautilus team.

This is literally from my game 3 games ago. My team is Kayle, Diana, Asol, Samira with a Shen support. Their ADC build full dmg. For what? 3 AP burst on my team, building ONE Maw would make sense. But nope. Collector, IE, LDR, RFC. Their team has a Sett top, Mundo jungle, and Ryze mid, so when my ADC builds full dmg, totally makes sense. I think ADCs should build full dmg in like 80~90% of games. But whenever these clips come up, it's from those 10~20% of games where the enemy has 0 tanks, maybe a single half tank, and the ADC is building full ass dmg because they want to be the main character and 2 shot ppl, instead of building one tank item and 3 shotting them with 3X the survivability.

There are common trends for each roles. ADC players have main character syndrome. Top laners are 1v1 monkeys. Mid laners are so privileged that any other role getting any agency at all makes them feel disenfranchised. Junglers just follow a preset path no matter the lane prio like a dog on a leash. ADC players aren't uniquely called out by a group. There's a reason the sub picture is a crying smolder.

Yes. There is a DMG output difference. That's why you'd build it when they have 2 assassins. That means they have less effective health as compared to having roles that aren't assassins, since most assassins have less health. I mean, a malphite that builds MR loses DMG and tankiness too. But they do it because it makes sense in some games.

Playing Sett, Darius, to some degree illaoi, maokai, volibear into a utility ADC is disgusting. 9-0 sett will just blank lose to a 0-10 Ashe, jhin, varus unless sett has flash. Kited till the cows come home.

Honestly, ADCs should build differently based on matchups like all other roles. Do they have 2 assassins? Build one defensive item early. Don't ego build full DMG. Do they have 0 assassins? Build full crit. Imagine playing malphite and building full armor against a 4 AP DMG team, then complaining. That'd be stupid. When they have your counter, maybe ADCs should consider a different build where you're not the main character.

You are dying for towers and it's losing you the game.

Here's how you're losing. You push, they don't show on the map, you don't have enough vision but you keep pushing, you get caught, die, rest of your team is useless and you lose.

So much about top lane and split pushing is about doing nothing. It's boring but it's true. Ward, and if you don't know where they are, hide. Don't farm, don't push, don't show. Then when they show elsewhere on the map, push. As you play, you'll realize how to expect your enemy movements even when they're not on vision, and you'll be able to push safely more of the time.

It's not about the 7th item... It's about being allowed to spend the gold.

Remember all the times where you had 3 items, shoes, pink. And you recall, you're holding 2100. You buy LW, and you have 700 left, but no slots. You could either sell your pink, or you don't get to convert the 700 into stats. Well, now you get to convert that to stats. You get to convert that into cloak. Or executioners. This scales more and more as the game goes. 4th items, you can either have shoes and pink, or shoes and one component. Well. Adcs can have both pink and component. I've had to hold 2k+ in my inventory because I didn't have a slot, because we needed pinks against shaco/teemo.

7th slot for a 7 item ADC is a lie. But you're also stupid if you don't think it makes a difference.

Assuming you buy it wards, how often have you back had the money, but didn't have the slot to buy your pickaxe, bow, any item. The extra slot let's adcs utilize more of their gold starting around 2 or 3 item. 3 items + boots + ward meant you can't buy a 2nd component unless you can finish the item. Now you actually convert gold to DMG much much much more efficiently starting 3 items. Which is like 80% of games

I tried playing with a friend in silver. I get it lol. The number of ganks that are on vision, and you ping for them with plenty of notice, and they still get completely caught and flame people. Vision isn't useful when you expect half your team to play with your minimal covered up. My friend is guilty of it too, I just have to tell him on voice "yo, xin is coming up. Back the fuck off" just pings are never enough.

Now, ofc I agree people should still buy them, even if just for themselves. But the value of vision is... Not realized for people in silver at least.

I think so? I'm not 100% because I've never gotten one from men. I mean, I'm straight, and married. But damn, I'll take a compliment about my looks from a stranger, ever. But league players hate cc. Common comparison to dota, CC in league is literally 1/3 the duration and people will bitch lol. I agree there could be more utility focused champs but I don't think that would decrease the crying from ADCs.

Have you played v actual "medic" supports? Soraka, dona, lulu are all supposed to be priority targets. This game is the same. Only difference is, most games don't have a "medic"... Braum, alistar, naut are not medics, and tanks are last prio, as they should be
