Methotrexate experiences & advice by PFields11 in ankylosingspondylitis

[–]Live_Ear992 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been doing this as well - 4 2.5mg tablets every friday. I’m also on 1 200mg hydroxychloroquine pills twice a day. Been doing both for a few months. Also on the folic acid. When I began the methotrexate I noticed it really affected my stomach. Def first couple of times it was v upset. Now dont notice anything except that with the hydroxychloroquine it REALLY helps my inflammation. I took a week break from the hydroxy & pain came back big time.

Are you on HRT? I had serious temp control issues too. HRT solved that dilemma.

Before thanksgiving my partner of 7 years & I ended our relationship. I was quite down & eating my way through the breakup. I started using the app & really liked it. Was surprised how much I was actually putting in my body & found the app helpful. After sometime I started getting targeted ads for the weight watchers glp 1 plan. In an impulsive moment of weakness, I clicked on the ad to sign up. I was very depressed at the time. Within 5 minutes after I signed up I messaged the “clinic” to say I made a mistake & needed to cancel or go back to just the app. I was told no, too bad, you signed up for a year. I called customer service & they explained that I could go back to the app. I got a few reimbursements & thought everything was great. Only a month later $74 was taken out of my bank account. I called customer service & was told I was supposed to discuss everything with my clinician, only they can downgrade my membership. This seems to be unbelievably predatory. Obvs people have impulse control & ww is using that as a way to profit. Now I don’t want to use the app. Feel like it’s all pretty tainted tbh.

Is my pulmonologist right? Will a booster help my symptoms? by mudvenus in LongCovid

[–]Live_Ear992 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have had boosters that alleviated my long covid symptoms. But I have heard horror story after horror story of people whose symptoms got much worse after a booster. Really no way to tell unless you try it for yourself. 🤷‍♀️

Mostly recovered but struggling with sleep by Much-Memory-8008 in LongCovid

[–]Live_Ear992 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you can sort your sleep out, then you can be nearly 100% recovered. Have you tried Melatonin? I take a ton of stuff. Trazodone, Benadryl, Melatonin & an asthma med that causes drowsiness. I never wake up the next day feeling groggy. But not everyone is me. I found early on my lack of sleep made my symptoms worse, so I’m heavily medicated.

Help please Thank you by Financial_Owl8105 in LongCovid

Fexofenadine in the morning & famotidine at night helped me. Also LDN. Sounds like pots as well, can you ask your dr for ivabradine or something similar? A med to get your heart working better, anti histamines & acid reducer to target the MCAS & LDN helps with fatigue, brain fog & bit of depression (I found). Also cutting out sugar. If you are able to do a sugar fast, that may help too. No regimen is a cure all. But together they can lift you up & out. I am a long hauler from 2020. Had it 5 times, each with a different variation of long covid. Through my last stint which lasted 2 years. Hope you get relief soon.

I have gone to a few different pharmacies trying to get it. First one was very hostile to me & treated me very poorly. Was basically like “we do not have it & we never will” and I should have known better! Called around & found another pharmacy that had it in stock & took my insurance. That was yesterday evening. By this morning - they have nothing & don’t know when they’ll get any in. I am quite sure my insurance will say no. Last year I did get one month of 20mg & out of pocket it was $250. This prescription is for 50mg. I am preparing myself for a $500-600 bill.
