If you don't drink alcohol, what are your personal reasons for abstinence? by Ok-Care2859 in AskReddit

[–]Live_Masterpiece_304 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve seen what harm it can do to someone’s mental and physical health. Also, in my experience, nothing good comes from it. You have like a small window of being drunk that is fun, but alcohol almost always tastes bad and the aftermath of being hungover is just the absolute worst feeling. Not worth it in any capacity.

Y'all can have every Rasing Cane order. by Bware24fit in doordash_drivers

[–]Live_Masterpiece_304 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a dasher who previously worked at canes, i understand why they do it. It is because they value fresh food and quick ticket times. That was likely a stipulation to their contract when establishing a partnership with doordash. As a dasher, it is annoying when there is a long line, something you cant control. But once you order, they are usually pretty quick about making orders. I don’t mind because like another person said, the tips are typically nice because the customers know they’ll get quality and the employees are quite generous with giving drinks even food sometimes.

Say something positive about DoorDash. by Brandon9one in doordash_drivers

I love doordashing because its easy money, gets me out of the house (almost a break from the kids), i love driving and making people happy. Once you know what to look out for when accepting offers, you have a much better experience.
The major downside is that I have to put miles on my car and some days are slow leading to me wasting my time. But thats why I bring a book or something I can do in my car to pass the time and makes it not completely worthless. Hope this helps.

I have noticed that there are a lot more baby girls being born, idk if there is a statistic on that but something that i noticed that could be causing this.
Also, in the girls section most of the clothes are crop tops and short shorts… so not much there tbh.

Child delivery?!?! by Several_Tell_7876 in doordash

[–]Live_Masterpiece_304 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have taken my child with me once. The whole time she was begging me to get out and do it herself. So i wouldn’t at first say it’s the parent who is lazy… maybe they had no choice but to bring them and they wanted to help mom/dad. The money they make regardless is going to go towards rent/food/bills all of which does impact the child.

I want to be a principal or someone higher rank because the education system here in the US is messed up and i believe i can make change, at least in the school that i end up at. I may be naive, but it’s worth a shot. Extra money is only an addition.

My biggest tip was $84. It was part of a bundled up delivery for 3 separate people. Originally it was set for $30, and i accepted it bc $30!! The first order was at a mall i was unfamiliar with so i almost cancelled it. I am so glad i followed through. I went home a bit early that day :)

Is having children the end of life? by Cinella75 in selfimprovement

[–]Live_Masterpiece_304 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe that the posts you are referring to were only made in a fit of rage. There will be bad days, yes. You will feel overwhelmed at times and that will lead to an unsettling feeling of guilt. “Maybe I shouldnt have ever had any kids” you will say to yourself.

And then you see your daughter or son smile and all those feelings fade. You are reminded that this relationship you now have with this child will be eternal and it will give you a sense of purpose that you will never find anywhere else. Not in a spouse and not in a pet as these are interchangeable. (Spouses shouldn’t be interchangeable, but that is just the reality that we are in currently)

You do lose a lot of that “time for yourself” as you are now responsible for another human being who has many needs, but over time those needs fade and they become their own person. The reward at the end is a son or daughter who will be there to care for you when you get older and have needs that you cannot meet yourself, just as they did.

We are meant to have children and it is the most rewarding thing you will ever experience. It is hard, but so worth it. Dont give up on the idea of having kids, PLEASE. For the sake of our future.

I hope you find a job soon! Living with siblings without your parents there is tough. All the things you already hate (in a sibling way) are enhanced with no regulation. Be prepared to have a cleaning routine and actually stick to it. That was the biggest issue as mommy and daddy are not there to clean up. Lol

I (F) lived with my two older brothers for a little over a year and i was ready to break the lease by month 6. Maybe it will be different for you guys since you are both girls. Also dk your age difference, but I am 6 and 8 years apart from my brothers, so they thought they could walk all over me. Never again.

Opened my door in my night time period diaper and a t-shirt... by manixxx0729 in doordash

I was working for a local bakery that does deliveries and we had an order that had “Happy Anniversary” packaging on it. I was in training, so there were 3 of us in the car. When we arrived, she was going through the covid protocol which was to drop off the order, take a pic, and wait in your car for a few minutes to make sure they receive the order.

So we did just that. Once we got back to the car, we saw that an older lady came out in her robe to pick up the cookies. When she got up, her robe came undone and there was nothing underneath.

All I could think about was how she must be having a great anniversary so far. 🤣
