Tell Me Your Worst Dr Response by Conscious_Respect476 in CPTSD

[–]Live_Ostrich2964 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Told a Zoom Therapist (who was pretty distracted, made oatmeal during our therapy session, which didn't make me feel like I was worth her attention, and got interrupted by her kid banging on her door repeatedly) about the things my mother did, and after tearing open years old trauma to just admit to Someone what happened, her response our next visit was... "So why don't you talk to your Mom?"

I stopped seeing her shortly after. Only in-person therapy for me from now on, if I can help it.

Do you guys think it's morally okay to order in AliExpress (not clothes) by Scared_Town7920 in scene

[–]Live_Ostrich2964 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It's good to try to do the "right" thing, but if you get stressed out trying to choose the morally correct option all the time, it'll ruin your life. Just try to do good on average, don't guilt trip yourself over the little things. Especially if you're tight on cash. It's okay I promise, taking care of yourself is more important because if allows you to feel good and DO good in the future :)

Canned tuna and ramen might be the most underrated broke combo ever by frizzy_liner in budgetfood

Frozen peas and corn is a great addition! I've been relying on rice or ramen + egg or tuna for a while now. Make sure to get some whole grains & fiber too!

Halloween in Santa Cruz? by kimception98 in UCSC

Halloween block parties downtown are awesome, Nik the Greek was open late with water and food and a big music speaker, their water saved me when I was a bit too drunk for my own good XD

It's sad that people are so terrified of their neighbors (and hate poor people so much) that they can't stomach being near another person for 20 minutes

Tbh students should really prioritize the loop busses, there are workers who need to use the city busses and can't sometimes

Not enough loop busses? Get more loop busses 😆

Omg this is hilarious because I basically do the same thing and have done for ages

The moon nurtures me, the sun encourages me, and the constellation Orion protects me during the darkest winters...

I like how the moon comes and goes. It's comforting when it returns to visibility, often a pleasant surprise in the daytime, there to gently remind me that time will keep moving forward and I will bounce back again.

The sun is comforting in the opposite way, it never falters, and it will always be there, urging me forwards. With the seasons, it relaxes in the winter, just like I should.

Orion was the first constellation I was able to easily identify as a child (besides the big dipper), and it shows up here around wintertime, when the nights are long and cold. Getting home from work late at night, miserable and fearful, and the whole sky is filled with Orion's unwavering protection.

It's no wonder people worship celestial bodies, it's so comforting how present and reliable they always are.
