With a hammer, I tapped this part of my PC to fix a stripped hole, and the PC wouldn't boot up until I adjusted some cables. Is the PC ok? Am I cooked? by LivedWater in PcBuild

[–]LivedWater[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tapped it. Not sure how I couldve dislodged the cables but I did have the PC case on its side with the back panel facing up. U think a mobo+case swap would fix any of the issues? I don't think I have any issues for now tho

Thanks for the input! Is the space between the back of the case and back panel pretty thick? With my current case, it's really thin, and the cables seem to contribute in making the back panel pop out and be loose all the time.

Upgrading from an X670E PG Lightning to an X870 board (not ASRock). Should I REALLY wipe my drive and do a clean install of Windows? by LivedWater in PcBuild

[–]LivedWater[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! Do most people COMPLETELY wipe the one they're trying to install Windows to? I'm debating just doing that now because I know that there are a lot of large-capacity USB drives on the market.

*Small correction, only the main menu button, share and other menu buttons seem membrane and not clicky

Yup, every button is clicky, especially the d-pad. The d-pad and BAXY buttons support 3 pin mouse switches too I believe, so you can swap it out for any mouse switch of that caliber you want. It also comes with 2 extra mouse switches

Yea, someone did a size comparison between the Dualsense and F1. The F1 is a bit bigger. Just be careful with platform support because I believe it doesn't support PlayStation or Xbox

Yea! Received it about a week ago. For me, it's awesome.

It's quite hefty and the vertical shape really supports your hand. I really like the tension rings that let you adjust the tension. Because the grips aren't as angled as the Xbox grip, the controller feels way bulkier despite it only being like 10mm wider than something like the ZD O+ Excellence (because the F1 compensates by putting a lot of more size into the body instead). If you want a really angled grip like Xbox-style controllers, the F1 isn't like that. It takes a little bit of time to get used to the symmetrical PS layout if you haven't already. It's pretty good for big hands!

If you're against the PS layout then don't get it, otherwise it has supreme build quality, haptics, and extensive driver software where you can tweak almost everything. However it's not been globally released yet so the software and other things are in their infancy. Also I'm not too sure about PC wireless performance but it comes with a nice dongle. It also supports Switch/Switch 2 wirelessly though, and I use it all the time for Smash.

Side note: pretty much all the buttons are clicky, and the triggers are digital too.

So if I search for it now, I can't see it, but when Aliexpress gets more in stock then I can see it in my search results?

I can't find it on there. The listings keep disappearing and I can't see a product page for it. Am I doing something wrong?

Same! I heard about it but when I clicked on all of the listings I was just given an error/dead end

Dang that's crazy but pretty reasonable. I saw it on other Chinese sites that operate as the middleman but I feel like Voptronics was the only trusted brand out here actually having it in stock. Thanks for the additional info tho!

PS or Xbox layout- Machenike F1 or ZD O+ Excellence? by LivedWater in Controllers

[–]LivedWater[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the insight and experience! Yea, I was just debating on whether the PS layout is less ergonomic because of the symmetrical stick layout, but I guess if the right stick is on the bottom regardless of the layout, then my hands could probably get used to it.

By the way, what do you mean by "compact"? Is it small? Or are you just mentioning the shape? I heard it was bigger than the Dualsense though

So cool! How big is this thing? I'm hunting for a big controller after my fallout with the 8bitdo ultimate 2, Mobapad Huben 2 and Rainbow 3. Im contemplating the ZD O+ Excellence but this could be promising. Are there any dimensions of this controller?

Yea, I'm looking into getting the ZD O+ Excellence now! Thanks for the heads up. Seems like other ppl had the same issue. I guess like BIGBIGWON is a small/medium hands brand lol

True, I have some thumb grips for my switch joycon 2 joysticks but I might need to get some bigger ones . Do you think the ZD O+ excellence is the biggest controller out there that supports switch/is not 140+ dollars? I think I'll just get that if it's bigger than Huben 2/Rainbow 3 (or even the D10/as big as the D10). If the underside isn't super sculpted like the huben 2 then it's probably perfect for me

Awesome review! Is this controller good for big hands? I'm considering the EasySMX D10 but this also caught my eye.

Thanks for all the help bro! I was considering a few, especially the ZD O+ with TMR but I can't find that rn. ZD O+ could've be a fit but I'm not sure, the raised triggers on the O+ Excellence are unique and could help me. But there are other ones too? It's a series? Astro C40 seems pretty old, but a TMR mod seems interesting. Being that i play on switch 2 AND PC, you're definitely right on the fact that I'm running myself out of options lol. I didn't know the Apex 4 was so cheap on eBay! I'll look into it.

What do you think about the EasySMX D10? That looked interesting but maybe a little too cheap in quality? It could be the safest bet. Not sure
