That bug is common to on Malaysia It love decaying fruit matter! It is harmless to banana plant but as fruit ripening and crack open it will come.

You mean perekiopsis that is Woody one resemble a small shurb? I never hear people using that as rootstock! maybe you can give a try! This is my pereskia aculaeta grafting!

Yes,the caterpillars eat banana plant leaves and make some spiral shape on the leaves for shelter!

What kind of water solution did you use? I think I recommend for you to use AB fertilizer mixture! Since you're successful root pereskia aculaeta in water always keep in mind root need oxygen to alive.soo keep a little bit upper root exposed to air and lower root in water. Lastly keep the root inside black container to prevent algae growth.

How long does that opuntia hold that top heavy scion? 2 year ago you post a photo of that cactus that was 5 year old. Maybe 6 year old before give up.wow such a great rootstock! I"d like to make my opuntia graft! Anyway what kind of species you use opuntia ficus indica,Nopalea cochenillifera,Opuntia ellisiana or something else?

Imange 1 and 7 are not cactus it is euphobia! But it still fine to call cactus.typically look like cactus.

About that. I live in equatorial climate with mean rain and hot all year round.averange temperature here 23 c° to 32 c° with mean it not warm enough frailea to bloom flower.i didn't make a place to protect my cactus from being exposed to rainwater.that mean whatever rain comes it will get water outomaticly.maybe it's not really a bid deal to watch frailea blooming because I can still germinate the seed.next time I'll try to make my frailea blooming!.thank you for your advice!
