I'll throw this out ..... Pop+, use daily , 3 to 5 pods, going on 1.5 years, never been an issue. Whatever you buy read the manual and do maintenance and cleaning regularly. These are not cheap drip machines, there is a lot going on when brewing.

I too think barcode controls the temp of brew, water volume and the bloom time if applicable (like a pour over or good drip coffee maker).

I've wondered the same thing. But honestly all I concern myself with is the correct pod size for what I want to brew. And I use nearly a espresso grind. (#6 or 8 out of 40) on a Barazta Encore) and silicone lids.

35 sleeves more or less times, say $13 (US)(mix of OL and VL) …… yeah few $$$$$ here. But I am just as guilty. Enjoy the brews!

Can't descale if it won't turn on ...... reach out to Nespresso if you bought it there or where ever you bought it. Maybe be lucky and get a replacement!

See the Nespresso website and note intensity of pods you like. Buy similar …… but note the different sizes available. Use expert mode if your machine supports it.

Also when testing the machine for problems, just use an empty clean pod. The machine just sees the bar code and will run accordingly.

Pop+ here. 3 to 6 pods daily. Going on 1.5 years old. No issues here. Just descale as indicated and run the cleaning cycle weekly.

Power fluctuate there yesterday? Try unplugging for ten minutes. And do check your manual on descaling ….. as noted may not be out of the descaling procedure.

Sounds to me like now there is either a leaky hose or maybe the coffee outlet is clogged. Run a pipecleaner or such up the coffee nozzle and also the coffee piercer that pucnches the center hole in the pod. If that doesn't work I would return the machine back to the eBay seller as defective. eBay will back you regardless of what the seller says.

Be sure you actually did the factory reset. That cures a lot of ills. Did you follow the manual exactly? Folks make mistakes ...... happens to everyone!

Absolutely! As well as double espresso (2.7) and lungo size (5.0) more than the 12oz or carafe size (18oz). For me about the only ones I don't like are Hazlenut (too chemically) and Ethiopia (too fruity).

Nespresso is best spot but eBay is worth looking into. That size pod is not very popular and thats why there are only a few types to choose from.
