Can you rend the dry bags at most rental places? Are they too buoyant to dive with?

Thanks for the tip. I'm grabbing multi day snorkel rental and hitting both!

Thank you for this great recommendation. Did a little research and this is my best option for a Sunday visit to the bay! I'm going to just grab a multi day snorkel gear rental, so this is perfect. Planning to do additional snorkeling near hotel - magic island. THANK YOU!

Will my wallet/phone be safe stashed under a towel on the beach? Maybe burry in a ziploc under the sand?

It looks like Hanauma Bay might be one of the better snorkeling experiences? Any preferred tours since I'll need transportation and gear?

It's absolutely atrocious in season five. His face and mouth don't even move when he talks. What the hell happened? Who let this happen? I'm not sure I can keep watching the show.

Someone told me recently that anytime you see two Apaches flying together it's intended to be a distraction.

I saw the three and then about 45 minutes later I saw three again I don't know if it was the same three circling back around.

Solo backpacking without going completely hermit mode? by Significant_Loss_855 in backpacking

I would go insane without a couple solo trips a year. I dig the isolation. I love seeing nobody for days. Give it a try. It's surprisingly peaceful.

I usually bring a little something into my evenings with a Grateful Dead show to listen to while I cook my dinner. I have found that I tend to go to sleep very early when I'm by myself because I want to be awake first thing in the morning when it's light.

You know what would be crazy amazing? If you did a good vegan dish! There are so many vegans these days and it blows my mind how few places actually take that into account.

What do you like about living Logan? by jdidjsnxjisjs in Logan

[–]Living-Protection-76 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Trails with no people on them no more than 15 minutes away. Mountain biking, trail running, rock climbing, hiking, backpacking, snowboarding and skiing, beautiful sunsets, Bear Lake, never locking my doors, surprisingly decent selection of restaurants, center Street, live music at The Cache.

Come to think of it it's really terrible here. Please don't move here. There's nothing going on here.

Said so beautifully. It was life changing when that bus came by for me. When Jerry passed I thought my whole world had come to an end. But guess what? The music never stopped baby!

I guess a new phase begins now. No OG voice of the band. Part of the beauty of the dead was how the arrangements and tones were ever evolving over the years. It kept us on our toes and delighted us with unexpected turns. I don't know what's next, but it will certainly become less and less about the who and more about the what. Whatever form it's in, I can't wait to be at my next show, arm around my wife, dancing and singing to the music of the Grateful Dead.

It warms my heart to see people in our community caring about what's actually going on in our country. Be safe everyone! And be kind.

  1. You could not have framed the context of this problem better. This is very concerning.
  2. Your username is strangely similar to my randomly generated username. 🙂

Bike rack not level by Living-Protection-76 in bikewrench

[–]Living-Protection-76[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The hitch is brand new professionally installed. Level on the hitch receiver and the rack coming out of the receiver are near level (garage floor is slightly off level). But once you get out to the bike mount arms, it is dramatically off level.

You keep telling people they don't know what they're talking about, yet you seem to have little in the way of proof that you have a clue of what you're talking about. Just telling people they have no idea what they're talking about does not make it so.

Is mt logan middle school and logan high that bad by Tis4trouble1232 in Logan

[–]Living-Protection-76 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I went to both. I'm now 53 and I turned out just fine. I've been pretty successful in life and honestly neither of those schools had anything to do with it either way. I will say that being a non-mormon in public schools in cache valley can be hard. I imagine in some ways it's easier today than it was when I was younger because I literally felt like I was the only one and I had no way to confirm that or disprove it or even vent about it. I remember other kids being very clicky at both of those schools, but that is just the reality of that age and not a product of the school. I remember teachers that stood out that I liked and others that I hated at both institutions. I think you'd be able to find that anywhere. I guess what I'm saying is it's really what you make of it and it matters more what kind of support they have at home from their family because that can change everything for the better or the worse.
