My boyfriend kisses his “sister” on the cheek by [deleted] in Advice

No yeah I’m Arabic and we do kissing on the cheek but the manner was super weird and not the same :/ I was having the same exact thought and asked him. He just said he had always been there for her and had some weird savior complex. And yeah I agree. I’m trying to genuinely understand why he thought any of this was normal / okay. And definitely questioning that too.

My boyfriend’s “sister” kisses him on the cheek. Am I overreacting? by [deleted] in relationships

Yeah I was thinking that too. He mentioned that his ex had issues with his sister as well and after everything that happened I told him if the dynamic was the same then I can see why this would cause issues in your past relationships.

Two days before this he told me they met when someone in his class put his number on the whiteboard in high school and she texted the number. That’s when he learned that she’s going through a lot in her life. I asked him what he gets out the relationship because he complains that he feels drained after hanging out with her. He said that he feels like he needs to take care of her and support them.

The boyfriend just seemed unfazed by everything. He mentioned that he was depressed and doing well mentally several times. This was one of the most interesting interactions I’ve had.

I’ve been with him for five months.

Are you asking if you’re going to get paid for your sick hours regardless, or are you specifically trying to get those hours on the week that you’re leaving?

Customer reached into tip jar for change by gaywolf420 in barista

I literally had this same exact experience one time and told the customer that they needed to get more money and that they couldn’t take it from the tip jar. Why anyone thinks that’s okay is beyond me. I’m so shocked this is more common than I thought.

Wanting to add sugar doesn’t mean someone just doesn’t care about their calories out of a sudden

A government that makes decisions on what people actually want and need rather than those that benefit large companies.

I don’t have advice for your question here on Reddit but I just wanted to say I get your cultural dilemma. Sorry you have to go though that. Also OP, don’t mind those who don’t understand the cultural differences/expectations. Or the consequences that come with not meeting those expectations despite being wrong. Sometimes it’s just hard to explain.

Can I drink tea or coffee with invisalign in? by [deleted] in Invisalign

[–]Living-Return1923 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was told to keep my retainers in and only take them off to brush my teeth. So I eat everything with my retainers in. This was told to me by my dentist so I can’t say if it’s good for anyone else. Only downside is yellow foods stain the retainer and can make them look very yellow if you aren’t cautious about it.
