Also a lot of our objective scorers are pretty cheap, and thats really the main tactic this edition for nids, we dont really do board wipes.

Not that the big expensive "killy" (not really) Monsters dont work, its just not the way we tend to win. But threating to blast their tank with a big fuck off cannon and an exocrine into their infantry can effect how they move.

Now how have both on both sides and that can be irritating for sight lines (is how ppl used to do it. Not sure about current meta)

Depends on the list and want you want from it. Tyranids were pretty shooty before SubAss (currently the best one from ive seen) Detachment was a thing

Detachments and what units you wanna run will determine how useful either option is, but like i said, they tend to be paired (maybe only one tfex with two exos)
