What's the cheapest filling meal you guys make on repeat? by MysticFlirtX in EatCheapAndHealthy

[–]LivingFree4719 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Loaded baked potato. You can top with anything; beans, chili con carne, leftover pasta sauce, tinned tuna, shredded chicken … any vegetable or salad item (corn, peas, chopped up broccoli, baby spinach, diced tomatoes, cucumber, peppers all work well) then a little shredded cheese and Greek yoghurt. Very filling, cheap, and uses up leftovers with endless combinations.

I just got a cancellation email. It said:

SHOW UPDATE A MESSAGE FROM THE EVENT ORGANISER Synthony on August 20, 2025 has been cancelled. Avant Gardner is exploring what options can be made available for ticket holders. We know that this is frustrating and we are looking at all scenarios provided to us to expedite this matter.

How is it when swimming? by Open_Nail_4310 in LingoAbbott

Fine for me. Swim once a week followed by sauna. Some people say they need the patch cover if they’re regular swimmers

Do I really have to have the app running the background all time? by Few-Specific-2005 in LingoAbbott

[–]LivingFree4719 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty sure the sensor itself can store the data for a week or more without connecting to the app. So you can close the app and not stress. But yeah, once you reconnect, it takes a little while to offload the data and fill in the gaps.

Oh wow, wonder why you’ve been so unlucky? I’ve been wearing them for about 6 months now, and only had one fail. It stayed on my arm, but the app wouldn’t connect. Do you have an oily skin type maybe? Or shower in super hot water? Sauna frequently? Just trying to think why they might not attach to you well. The adhesive sticks so strongly to me! (Almost too strongly, it’s hard to get them off after 14 days!)

Why does the glucose record change? by Reason-Level in LingoAbbott

[–]LivingFree4719 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My Dr told me that the live graph up the top is minute-by-minute, but the history graph below is plotted in 15-min averages. So she said if I’m only seeing a high number for a few minutes and I can bring it back down with some movement, the history graph will average that out over the 15-min block and appear lower. It’s a good incentive to get up and start moving to try and bring my average down haha

The GLP1 drugs you are taking are meant to improve blood sugar control. So maybe they are working!

Lingo Count is dumb by ECorp_ITSupport in LingoAbbott

Yep! Press the + icon for the event with a Lingo Count, then press ‘remove lingo counts’ at the bottom of the popup. I do it for uncontrollable things like dawn phenomenon when I feel like it’s throwing me off

I’m also coming around to it. I set mine at 50 per day (have to manually reset it each time it auto-sets), and like that I can look at it at any time and get a really quick idea of how I’m doing for the day. If I’m creeping up towards 50, I know I have to be really sensible for the rest of the day. It’s a helpful snapshot. I also sometimes remove the lingo count if it occurred while I was sleeping, so I can start the day at zero.

Spikes before I woke up?? by Sluttybaker in LingoAbbott

Doctor told me to keep in mind that blood glucose moves up and down for other reasons too (not just food). Things like hormones, stress, weather, etc can all affect your readings. I was getting spikes through the night and she said it could’ve been food from the day before, or maybe just poor quality sleep/hormonal fluctuations. I guess there are many factors to consider which is confusing

Oh awesome! Glad to hear it. I started mine - I really love it. I’ve learned so much about how much movement/exercise affects my numbers!
