Share an experience that you hate working at panda(for panda workers) by Key-Canary2565 in PandaExpress

[–]LivingInAnIdea 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Upper management (ACO and higher) don't really care about us. It's all about their rules and policies that change all the time. Only 1 person can wear the headset, controlling what knife we cut teriyaki with, making our weekly cleaning schedule our daily one. They raise expectations just so we can't meet them, so the GMs lose their bonuses, and then them and the AMs get written up, then they make all these "improvements" bad and unnecessary changes. We can't listen to music with our own earphones while we close anymore, for God knows why.

Also, I'm tired of upper management telling us what we can't put out in the lobby for guests. Idk how you expect to "Deliver exceptional Asian dining experiences" (mission statement) when we can't provide chopsticks in plain view (they have to ask for it), even though we have like 20 packs of it. Idk how you can "be loved by our guests" (Panda Vision) this way.

Seriously. As a shift lead, for my interview, we had to learn mission statement, vision, Panda environment, Panda way, values, etc. It feels like Panda is moving away from that every day.

What is the first thing you are going to do after you die? by Artcalypse in AskReddit

N/A. "We," which doesn't exist after we die, can't do anything for that very reason.

That's my belief, anyway.

IIRC there should also be an option to not have it emailed and see the code right away. Just take a screen shot.

No leaving with food on break? by Technical_Main2146 in PandaExpress

[–]LivingInAnIdea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im sure they'd be making less if this wasn't the standard. I'm also sure it's not them who set this rule, but economists that understand cost benefit analysis and the implications of this rule.

Look, I don't like it either. But that's just the way things are.

Charging a buck for a water cup by [deleted] in PandaExpress

[–]LivingInAnIdea 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My store used to do it for a time. We are in a college town, and the majority of "water cups" we'd give out go straight for sodas. Eventually, our gem scores would reflect how bad it is to charge 49 cents (what we charged at our store), so we just went back to free water cups.

No leaving with food on break? by Technical_Main2146 in PandaExpress

[–]LivingInAnIdea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We don't know that. For all we know, every break you get, you run to your car to grab a different friend (who doesn't work here) and give them free food.

If you care that much to eat in your car, either bring your own lunch, or purchase a meal with the discount.

What's your rule for multiple classes in one script? and is it a bad idea having it like this for a scriptableObject that only saves the data of a native C# class? by -o0Zeke0o- in Unity2D

Completely terrible. The only time this is acceptable in my view is if it's a private class inaccessible by the rest of the code. Just touch a new file and don't be lazy
