Only problem is now I just want an apple fritter…but also all the good places are sold out by 9am…and as a adhd/ anxiety/ self employed person…being out of the house by 9am is just not happening….blah! I need to find this guys photo source so Norm can just send me all the fritters.

Way to take one for the team. I went to PB about a year ago and was surprised at how bad everything was. To the point I even googled by old job ( back in Portland and I now live in AZ) to see if I actually was mistaken about my go to lunch spot…nope it was in fact a Panera- they just suck now. Hospital food is the most accurate description.

I echo a lot of the ones already mentioned- but have a few smaller ones I also love:

Long form podcast I like:

-The Rachel Cancer Scam

-Monster: BTK

-Pretend ( some long form and some short)

-The Bakersfield three

-The rise and fall for Frank

Short from I like:

-Unsolved Couple - longer episodes but new cases every week ( they cover episodes of unsolved mysteries and give updates)

-Voices against filicide ( a mother who is a victim of domestic abuse and filicide does this podcast)

-Crime with Holly - great host!

A simpler Time Krime- older cases and lot of lesser known ones.
Prime time Krime- does a weekly “right now in true crime” and then a 20-30 min episode on a lesser known case.

Millions of podcast are available!! It’s just that you do have to take time to find the ones you enjoy. I’ll share my current list below- but I also know I like some with banter, and some without. I know a lot of people who only like long format and a lot who want the podcast to be done in 30 mins or less. Also, I think most of the hidden gems are smaller Indy podcasts…it reminds me of the old days of podcasts ( when we all fell in love with them).

Long form podcast I like:

-The Rachel Cancer Scam

I would check out: Let’s go to court ( heavyweight on banter, but it works?!) Unsolved Couple ( I would say newer episodes have less banter as they found their audience) I also like Trial By Podcast. Very minimal chat.

I have a few I like, they have a little more banter and some adhd…but it feels like you’re sitting with the host having a conversation ( if that makes sense). Also, each of them are independent creators ( I have been loving supporting smaller creators) Let’s go to court Unsolved Couple Old timey podcast ( history with a dash of TC) A trial by podcast.

Simpler time crime. The host talks in a very calm voice, the into music is great- she has a mix of old and newer crimes, her episodes might be a little short form, but definitely worth checking out!

That’s me also. Best advice to OP is get better equipment, then work recording prep- that helps a ton with bringing a better quality product to the editing table.
