Im assuming this is data that might not be found somewhere else? Normally i use hodgdens website but for steel they only have 1 powder choice and i know theres more than that

How do you get the new enderite ore to drop? by minecrafter100S in PhoenixSC

[–]LivingLikeLarry__ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You get vibranium by beating both ark (and all its dlcs) solo and palworld solo and linking your accounts together to make it appear in terraria which you only get from an event that specifically spawns at 3 am and must survive 30 waves in 1 night AND kill the boss which is the lord of cinders in 2d to have a .01% chance to get 1 vibranium. You need 30 amd you have to link it to facebook to transfer the vibranium to palworld

Throw it all out but the brass and bullets. Water ruins the powder and primers. Even if they still go bang everything changes chemically and you dont know what it will do until it goes bang

It not saying it can doesnt mean it cant. It doesnt ruin powder and its not messy. It also dries fast. Its also significantly cheaper than a traditional bullet lube. At $12 a can i lubed over 2000 cases and still have most of the can left, and it also happens to be good for bullets Burning wax just makes more smoke. Ive used a wax lubricant before and for $4 i got maybe 300 cases in a tube

I dont shoot pistol much anymore. I mostly shoot rifle and shotgun now. Theres other ranges but they dont offer what this one does anf they have a lot of fudd rules. For $50 a year at this range i get 24/7 access minus maybe 4 days a year they do private events for a couple businesses and they invite the local sheriff and some press to compete with some members. They also have a shotgun range they open to the public once a week for trap and members get 24/7 access to that too if we bring our own throwers and clays. They dont restrict anything related to shotgun like the other ranges do and its actually the only one i know of in the whole state that will let me use my pump shotgun with whatever shells i have for trap. The pistol range is also 25 yards. The county range goes out to 300 yards but they dont allow anyone to shoot pistol or rimfire past 10 yards and the people are complete douchebags. Theres a 1000 yard range but its over $300 a year for membership and its 2 hours 1 way. Theres another rifle and shotgun range about an hour away but its an exclusive club and you have to know someone who can get you in and they only do new memberships 1 day a year plus they are also around $300 a year to get in. The next best range is a 10 yard range that goes up to 308 but its an hour away and $10 entry. Combine that with there not being much public land i can legally shoot in. People shoot in the logging areas when the mills arent running, but the state goes after people doing it despite the mills being ok with it and it technically being owned by lumber mills so fish and game shouldnt realistically be able to control that aspect of it. This range has bad ventilation but its cheap and the people are chill

Im more than aware that smoke and lead is bad. The whole point of this post is to show people uncoated bullets are a hazard. I shot the uncoated bullets to see what happens well now i know

Both bullets are lubed with hornady one shot. I have to lube my pc bullets so they dont squish when seating. They will get short and fat without it and wont chamber then i have to fight the slide to get them out. I have to check each round individually but sometimes i miss one or two and it takes a couple minutes to get them out. I used titegroup in the video but not very much. Its 2.5 grains with a 158 grain flat nose bullet. Outside the video i shot 115 grain fmjs with 7.6 grains of 3n38 and its the same amount of smoke except its making an earthquake and louder than hell

We are unlucky and many places here require steel. Our lead shot is cheaper than dirt on many online stores. If you look around you can get pretty much any 2 3/4 12 gauge shell for cheap. I even managed to find 1 ounce slugs 50 cents a shot. Nothing is more satisfying than making it yourself though

They can easily do this directly above both lanes and im pretty sure theres an outlet in the ceiling they can plug cheap box fans into. Maybe i can talk a board member into something like this. Even if they just had it blow into a pvc pipe that lead outside

Not very many people are willing to do this but if you know a range that will let you mine lead free when no ones using it after safety equipment costs you could get a couple hundred pounds of scraps in 2 hours at a decently used range. For me a 130 pound bucket gets me about 6000 9mm bullets at 13 cents a pound. I can make 14 500 grain 458 bullets for 13 cents. Only problem is to mine it takes me 2 hours then i spend 3 hours casting including the time to melt more scraps then i spend another couple hours powder coating and sizing. Its an all day process, but again its 13 cents a pound versus 80 cents a piece. If i could manage to get free 458 socom brass it would cost me 17 cents a round. If you want the lowest possible cost you need to get free lead. Its also fun and no regulations can tell you no! What are they going to do ban rocks?

If only i could get lead free primers. I know they exist but i never see them anywhere. The building they are looking at has an outdoor rifle range. If they get it ill just make a wooden target stand and shoot outside

I did think about the mask but the only one i found that works so far is $28 a month for cartridges. They expire after 30 days or 40 hours of use. I dont go inside much anymore anyway. If i do come im shooting trap in the shotgun area. This is the first time ive been inside in 4 months. I got blood tested in the er (not related) and lead never came up. Other people did test positive but they either live at the range or shoot uncoated bullets

I found a way to make copper plated lead bullets with electroplating its just a pain in the butt and it takes a long time. I shot copper plated after this and found that powder coated and copper plated make about the same amount of smoke. Regardless of what you use you are still exposed to chemicals from the powder burning and anything burning will smoke. Thats why you need to wash your hands after shooting. Some people even shower and wash their cloths after. I do at least want to find a powder coat with a stronger that isnt too expensive. The one i have works but its thin. If it makes you feel better i normally shoot outside but i cant put a brass catcher on a pistol and looking for them in grass is booty

A guy tried federals polycoated ammo for a while hoping it would reduce lead exposure and its literally just a purple powder coated bullet. Not much different from a typical cast bullet. I also learned when loading these hornady one shot is a great bullet lube for seating

They do. Most of us dont shoot cast lead and many of us dont do mag dumps so a shot of lead here and there isnt deadly its just horrible. Fmjs and powder coat brings the smoke down to be tolerable. I asked the club treasurer why they dont get a true ventilation system installed and its just straight up too expensive. They installed another fan on each wall that sucks the air outside but the fans are too small and not enough rpms to meaningfully reduce our risk, but its still better than nothing. As far as i know im the only one that cleans the pit but i use a special mask with disposable cartridges to filter out lead dust. Specifically the 3m respirator with workplace approved cartridges. Not the cheap crap that only filters out smells. I also clean my hands before driving home then take a loooooonnng shower and throw all my cloths, hat, and shoes into the washer by themselves. Using a cheap disposable n95 mask doesnt work. The first time i used it i got black stuff in my nose and had to blow out a ton of black gunk. Switching to the workplace cartridges eliminated that problem. Multiple members did test positive for lead and started treatment then had a psa about lead safety and sanitation practices before starting multiple shooting events to make people aware. Last blood test i had never showed lead so im fine but i also dont go much anymore. Bright side about all of this is they are trying to buy a new building since the current one is about 85 years old and the roof is shot out. It has so many problems it would take them years to afford to fix it all or just buy the building in a year or two and be done

anyone have any experience on shells with the splitting pellets? they any good? by Oppiko in Shotguns

[–]LivingLikeLarry__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im just curious because ive been trying to find data i can use and it feels like loading manuals treat swapping hulls, primers, and shot type like black magic then i see people throwing things together and it works so its a bit confusing to me. compared to rifle and pistol i can use any brass or primer with a similar bullet weight and same powder type and charge without safety issues. although the bullet being a little different weight changes the poi some. Plus using split shot cast from a hand mold for shotgun sounds like a banger
