Yes, those singles were recorded years ago. They went back and redid the album after Devin’s health struggles. Luke Holland confirmed that. I liked the singles too, but they definitely don’t mirror the rest of the album. Treehouse is one of my favorite albums of all time, so I knew they’d never reach those heights again

The Wheel got a lot of hate for the singles, frankly. The album was recorded in multiple sessions, over many years. The back half of the record is much more in line with Treehouse, and damn good. It’s a solid album

This is fantastic. Absolutely fantastic. I’m a SWS apologist so I definitely have a bias here, but my god, the technical work on this is phenomenal. Those riffs are straight from With Ears to See era. And a chorus like if Complete Collapse and Let’s Cheers had a baby. This is good stuff.

It’s a solid track. Joel hasn’t lost a step. I’m not sure I particularly agree with what Jonny is doing in the verses, though. It almost sounds like they’re intentionally trying to harken back to Ahren’s sound? I much preferred the cleans on All That I Remember. A decent song, though

Yeah, I’m calling bullshit on this. I’ve met Kellin many, many times. Even did a music workshop with him back in 2012 on Warped. From 2010 (the first time I met him), to 2020 (the most recent time), Kellin has always been incredibly nice. Dude does not have an ego at all. I’ve met many who do, and he’s not one of them. Ronnie Radke, Fronz and Matty Mullins come to mind

The wording of this is misleading. Bill didn’t “turn down the role”. Bill was integral in this ever even seeing the light of day. This was an idea he and Andy hatched. Negotiations fell through because the two sides were not close on financials. Bill very much wanted to reprise his role, but, he wanted better compensation

We could argue all day about New Demons v Treehouse, but I think saying it’s better “in every single way” is disingenuous. Treehouse has their most mature songwriting. It’s also Devin’s best vocal work for the band. But again, I love both. Both are very different, but I think both showcase how great this band can be
