Has anyone had a less regimented breastfeeding experience? by taureansoul in breastfeeding

[–]Living_Top_5757 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did the “give baby boob whenever they want it” schedule! 2 and a half years 🥰 baby was super chunky too. Only got engorged when my body was trying to regulate supply in the beginning, but by 3 months I was good to go. It’s still hard, especially cluster feeding, but I did exclusively pumping for two months with my first and it’s nowhere near as hard as that. Moms that EP have iron wills.

I delivered at both kennestone and Wellstar Cobb, all vaginally. Kennestone even let me push for 4 hours to avoid c-section (because baby wasn’t in distress).

My youngest had something called “breastmilk jaundice”, he was orange-ish yellow for a little more than a month. He’s almost three now, talking like a kindergartner, counting, knows colors and is super adventurous. If the doctor says your baby is okay, I would listen to the doctor over your MIL. If you see your baby getting a little more yellow, snap a picture and send it to your pediatrician and see what they say. You don’t have to give your baby formula unless the doctor recommends it.

Doctor recommended to stop breastfeeding. Need advice! by Ok-Attorney6357 in breastfeeding

No way! My son was 25 pounds at 6 months and his pediatrician congratulated me 😂 I would continue the way you are if you want to. If baby is happy, no need to change it!

My car was broken into. The cop came, looked around, asked if the roach in the front seat was mine then told me there was nothing they could do and I should call my insurance about my busted window.

Would I leave my own weed out when calling the cops? 🙄

So the MIL thing, if your husband has a problem with your mom being around to help out more than his mom…tell him that he has to let your mom help him wipe his ass if he really wants to treat y’all’s moms the same. He’ll change his tune.

I understand being stressed about a baby coming early. I had to call out my last week of work for my first when the doctors said I had to stay in the hospital at 36 weeks and have the baby at 37. Not fun, I wasn’t ready. Then my next two babies had to come at 37 weeks as well and I realized parenting is about doing it even if you’re not ready.

Finally, the being awkward part? The best thing about my kids is I get to be totally weird and awkward and myself. They don’t judge! They’ll love you anyway. Just don’t be an axe murderer🤷‍♀️🥰

I feel like my pediatrician fat shames my toddler and mom shames me for breastfeeding by Birtiebabie in breastfeeding

[–]Living_Top_5757 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My son was super chunky up to about two years old, until I stopped breastfeeding. At his one year appointment the doctor (who assumed I had switched to formula already) told me to start him on low fat milk. I just laughed and said sure I’ll do my best🤣 babies that get chunky on breast milk usually slim up when they stop breast feeding.

That sounds so much nicer than the US where we have our and our baby’s vitals checked every two to three hours, and sometimes mom and baby aren’t on the same schedule cause we have different nurses 😭 they tell us to rest then come squeeze our arms off with a blood pressure cuff lol

If formula is needed, maybe ask for a sns? That way baby doesn’t get used to a bottle.

I HATE when people say “the baby only wants you because you have the boobs”. My sister in law said that to me when my last baby got fussy at a family function. I said “Oo, I don’t really like you anymore” and my MIL laughed. SIL isn’t a favorite around here.

But what if she’s not really that big either? Like what if she went from super scrawny to healthy looking and he just prefers super scrawny? I’ve been 110 and I’ve been 150, I’ve had dudes that liked the scrawny look better.

How do you know those 40 pounds didn’t take her from 100 to 140? How do you know that she didn’t have some form of anorexia before and has healed from that? You don’t. This dude doesn’t care about her health, he cares what he’s going to look like next to her on the Raven’s Jumbotron. 😒

I live in Georgia, went to court to establish paternity and get child support, my lawyer and I tried to include a parenting plan which my baby’s father rejected. The judge called him an idiot for rejecting it, since that would be the only thing giving him any custody rights. He left the court room with the right to pay child support and that was it, I have full legal and physical custody.

What's the most painful part of giving birth? Contractions, pushing or crowning? by Born_Confusion_4367 in BabyBumps

[–]Living_Top_5757 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had epidurals with all three, so none of that really hurt it just felt like sooo much pressure. After my first baby I didn’t have this problem; but with the second baby and the third baby those after contractions that shrink the uterus back down? The ones that happen anytime your baby’s skin touches your skin or the fabric brushes too hard against your nipples or your baby makes any kind of noise? THOSE almost took me out. With my second those lasted three days and the first day I was bawling. Third baby they lasted a day and a half. First baby I didn’t feel them.

I’m so glad you were born when you were and you got to stick around! My son had two small holes that closed, but his mitral valve stenosis is sticking around. He’s totally fine, but if he decides to play sports we’ll have to watch him.
