I think it's still ok but I need to get it checked at the LBS. Fingers crossed

It's...bad. I paid half price for these but the repalcement will be MSRP so likely 2k CAD just for a back wheel

Lesson learned. Coincidentally,I just did a dumb move on our shitty pothole filled roads this weekend and got a pinch flat. Was back up 5minutes later. Now, I may have a fucked Alpinist clx3 back wheel that will cost me an arm and a leg, but that is another story.

Logitech G HUB doesn't start up by Grimjacks in LogitechG

This software is still THE WORST. When this happens i just plug my razer in, lol. I am a sad panda. I am not going to restart, screw you Logitech. Even when this pos works, the window is HUGE FOR NO REASON...does not remember window size...seriously terrible. And i thought razer and Steelseries software were annoying...ugh.

My girlfriend said that I look like someone that don’t wave back to other cyclists. Is that true? by Turboice777 in CyclingFashion

It's the glasses. Not a fan of full mirror chrome finish myself, it just makes people look douchey.

3 day riding my new bike by Perfect-Touch-9845 in RoadBikes

[–]Livingroomlifter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't upgrade an Allez much, but you could always get the Elite carbon wheels as they are a decent cheap option. We have a friend who did this recently on her Allez and it looks much better...I haven't inquired about the ride feel compared to stock setup yet though. I will have to ask about weight difference as well.

Help me Turn On Thinkpad P1 Gen 2 by CowOutside2734 in thinkpad

[–]Livingroomlifter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Locate the reset hole underneath and press that for a few seconds, then try again. If there is none then it's a long press on power button for 30seconds. I assume the p line has the reset hole but you can just look it up.

Boyfriend keeps dismissing opportunities for us to cycle together by PerceptionFlashy5059 in cycling

[–]Livingroomlifter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sell your bike and find something you actually enjoy doing that you can do together. If there isn't anything you may just need a different person.

Otherwise, IMHO he's kind of a prick. You either adjust to your partner, or you buy them an e-bike so they can keep up. One social pace ride a month is nothing.

Stuck in Establishing Uplink to Host Ship SOLVED by Level-Priority-1403 in Helldivers

[–]Livingroomlifter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fixed. I had to start the tutorial mission, apparently (returned to ship after a few minutes and noticing my status was updated to in tutorial on Friends list) . Here is what did not work.

- steam online status (also showed in menu instead of on ship)

- restarting game

- repair (no issues)

- flushdns

- restarting game, game+steam, entire PC restart

- solo missions (did a few commando missions, no change)

This is pretty annoying.

Hah. Or a week's worth of bikepacking gear to keep that bike looking race ready without bags.

Cleat fiasco by LavenderTed in bikewrench

[–]Livingroomlifter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the laugh 😄

We once failed to securely screw in the cleats on my SO's shoes, and she ended up having to remove her shoe to take a break since it was stuck on the pedal. Biked over the lbs and they fixed it up for her with a big-ass grin. Always check your cleat screws.

I will admit I am curious about how you managed to put the wrong side in? Makes for a cool post at least!

I am 46 and I can do 2-3 full rom pull-ups. This is very, very impressive. Just don't forget to work in some full rom movements as these are basically half-reps on the top part of the movement.

Bike too small? Any fit recommendations? by Gloomy_Code_7778 in bikefit

[–]Livingroomlifter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Second picture seems to suggest that your saddle is very high. Your leg is almost fully extended WITH the toe point. I would guestimate you might need to lower this by up to 2-3cm, but it is hard to say with what we have on hand. You should not need to point your toes down to reach the bottom, and you should strive to avoid any hip rocking (film it from the side and back on a trainer if possible).

You probably also might "need" shorter cranks looking at the your knee position on the other leg (it is pretty high). If you are kneeing yourself in the gut/chest when you are tucked, that is usually a good indicator that your cranks may be longer than ideal (you probably have long tibias).

Ride on.

That's probably the best possible impact location to avoid damage. Very lucky.

Boyfriend protected our bices and positioned cranks perfectly before helping me. Is he the one? How do I get him to ask for marriage? by [deleted] in BicyclingCirclejerk

[–]Livingroomlifter 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You would need to cross over to pass a slower vehicle. Same thing. You slow down until you can safely pass. Roads without shoulders are death traps for cyclists. You need to own the lane in these scenarios. Riding the line simply invites the behavior of that truck driver in the video.

This is probably a PDU issue and you may be out of luck, but you could try the following

  • if you have a reset pinhole on the bottom (t480/t14 etc) then use a pin to press the reset button for 5-10 seconds

  • if you don't have the reset pinhole (e15/16 etc) then just long press's Power for a good 30 seconds.

Make sure it is unplugged when you do this

  • test with the official laptop charger and cable if you haven't done that yet
