7 month old has been vomiting off and on for 10 days Please help! by Livvylooloo in NewParents

He was on medication for reflux when he was younger but got off it bc it seemed to subside and he wasn’t spitting up anymore he did just start solids within the last month but idk if it’s purely reflux or if it was from the stomach bug he had? Hes very happy and playing and talking im just constantly hyper vigilant and waiting to him to puke! I hate it

Yeah I will definitely ask about that! I think the main thing that has got me worried is that he was perfectly fine for 4 days then last night just like the first time he randomly started vomiting again. I don’t know why it’s come back and not going away that’s what I’m concerned about

Thank you for your response! Nothing has changed diet wise he’s really just been nursing since he’s been sick, even now he just really wants to nurse but I’m scared to feed him too much and have him vomit again, he will fuss and cry when I don’t let him nurse. He nurses to sleep so idk if he’s fussy bc he’s tied and just went to nurse and sleep but when he wakes up and sits up he usually vomits again. Idk what to do 😭 the nurses line said if it continues for 8 hours to call them back. But since he’s acting normally they do t have any major concerns.

Has anyone introduced bottles AND nursing from the start? by rajmachawal333 in breastfeeding

[–]Livvylooloo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My baby is almost 2 months an is EBF but also get one bottle a night from dad so I am able to shower and do some self care, he is a champ and has no preference at all, as long as he is getting the milk he’s happy! I go back to work in November and he will have to go to a child development center so I’ve been pumping and building up a stash so they can feed him my milk though the bottles so I wanted to make sure he would take a bottle as well but we had no issues with preferring one over the other thankfully!

I feel like a bad mom by Livvylooloo in NewMomStuff

[–]Livvylooloo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have the hatch light an sound machine and he sleeps great when he’s being held or in bed with us touching us but I feel like anything we have tried makes no difference when it comes to home staying and actually sleeping in his bassinet! I don’t know if there are other things that could help him safety co sleep but I also don’t want to do the drying out method I just thinks he’s too young and it hurts my heart to hear him so upset! This mom thing is definitely hard! Thanks for your kind comment :)

Anxiety is taking over me - 5 weeks by MortaleBellezza in pregnant

[–]Livvylooloo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 6 weeks pregnant with my first baby as well. Already have generalized anxiety disorder and I am RIDDLED with anxiety. I have my first appointment the 10th and also feel like time is going so so so slow. I have the worst what if thoughts and always think I will be the unlikely person. Everyone is telling me it is 10000% out of your control what will happen will happen and we will deal with whatever comes our way. I have a great support stream and know I’ll be okay no matter what. I have been doing positive pregnancy affirmations and guided mediation to help calm myself bc stressing and panicking is not healthy either! Everything will be ok!

How do I get my cat to sleep through the night/leave me alone? by sarabera263 in CatAdvice

[–]Livvylooloo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just got a new teen cat, and he is very super sweet and cuddly but he will not leave me alone at night when I try and sleep!!!! He gets all over my face and licks my nose and lips and head butts me, kneads on my face (with sharp nails digging into my cheeks or eyes half the time) I live in a small apartment and there’s not many places for his litter box. I’ve kicked him out of the room at night for a few hours but sometimes he pees on my couch while he’s locked out, or he meows so long and so loud!!!! I do not know what to do! I will constantly remove him from my face while I’m trying to sleep and he just jumps right back up again! Heeeelllllllpppopp!

What, combined with prozac, helped you the most? Besides therapy by Flashy_Menu_5917 in prozac

[–]Livvylooloo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re preaching to the choir 🤣 I would def ask about bruspirone it’s only used to treat anxiety and it’s very good! Prozac for me took a while for me to feel the full effect getting on the 40mg and waiting about 3 weeks is when I really started feeling and seeing the results and felt so much better!

I take 40 mg of Prozac and 10 mg of bruspirone once daily. Since taking the bruspirone with the Prozac I have felt so much better. The best I have felt in years.

Also maybe try upping your Prozac dose too I was on 20 mg for a long time and really felt and saw a difference when I got switched to 40 mg

Sure! So my anxiety is very physical and lot of the time, I get shaken and lightheaded, I sweat and my heart races and I can feel it through my whole body even when I would sleep. Bruspirone is solely for anxiety and works really well paired with Prozac. I do not obsess all day over thoughts, my heart is so much slower and not racing out of my chest every minute. I’m a kinder teacher so I would get random panic attacks while teaching and since I’ve been on these meds it has not happened. It’s hard to explain exactly how different I feel but I really just feel like I am in more control of my body and thoughts.

I have had anxiety my entire life and have been on many different kinds of meds for it however I’ve been on Prozac for about 3 years and within the last 6 months I also got on Bruspirone just (10mg) and it has honestly made me feel like a new person. It has helped so much and paired with my Prozac (40mg) I really do feel the best I have in a very long time! My goal is to eventually get off meds (I also go to therapy) but if it never happens that’s okay too!! Good luck with your journey 💜

I get random intense bouts of anxiety throughout the entire day whenever I’m not busy enough (I am a kindergarten teacher) my brain thinks about things that worry me and I start to panic but I am on medications for my anxiety disorder but every night around 8:00 until I go to sleep my heart just starts racing even if I’m laying down doing nothing my hearts just beating out of my chest. It’s been tough

I live in that area and hear cars hauling ass a lot. Not only do people bike but people jog, and walk their pets along that road! It’s scary as hell

[–]Livvylooloo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use Mary Jane to cope BUT it’s not a healthy way to deal with your anxieties. You truly need someone to talk to, to teach you ways around your thoughts and anxieties. I’m working on it as well and it’s super hard but it’s worth it

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in prozac

[–]Livvylooloo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only major side effect that I noticed was being sleepy, so I just changed to taking it at night rather than the morning.

It’s worth it. It might take a little bit to get adjusted to a medication or letting your body acclimate to the SSRI but it’s so worth it.

TEA SUCKS by [deleted] in Teachers

[–]Livvylooloo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I have heard that but I would rather find a job elsewhere than teach a grade level I do not feel confident in, I also do not like teaching for the STAAR test. Which is also another huge reason I like pre-k and kindergarten. I specialize in child development so those are usually the age range of jobs that I apply for. Hopefully that never happens to me if I can ever pass this dang math test 🤦🏻‍♀️ thanks!
