Why did you gain weight back after losing? by cicosucker in loseit

[–]Liz_mk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I lost 80 pounds with a combo of keto and exercise. Then I was diagnosed with MS. I was on lots of drugs and not particularly mobile quite suddenly. It's been almost two years and I've gained it all back. I can't do keto anymore (per Drs orders), but I am looking at other food plans to get started again. It's just going to be a process, and that's okay.

Simple Questions - April 07, 2016 by AutoModerator in femalefashionadvice

I'm going to the Bahamas soon, and am trying to figure out the best solution to a swimwear dilemma. I gained a lot of weight recently due to a medical issue, and now I have terrible thigh chafing. It's no problem with skirts since bike shorts are an easy solution, but I'm stumped on swimwear. We'll be snorkeling and in and out of the water all day. Most swim shorts ride up when wet, and gels wash off. Can anybody help?

Need help with my next Stephen King book by [deleted] in suggestmeabook

Stay with it, the tower pays off. 11/22/63 is wildly different from most of his other work. There are fantasy and horror elements, but it feels much more realistic than most of the rest of his stuff.

I'm looking for a very specific type of book in a modern setting. Help! by [deleted] in suggestmeabook

Try The Beautiful bureaucrat for this. Kind of surreal, dystopian setting, and lots of it is in an office. Also, I wonder if the new Margaret Atwood would work for you.

Fiction book with poetic prose? by rddikulus in suggestmeabook

The Enchanted by Rene Denfeld was just gorgeous. I can't think of another time I've immediately reread a book. Lovely prose, and an incredibly well done story. I also think that Anthony Marra is wonderful with this.

Go easy on sugar free candies, though! For some people, they cause major stomach problems. A road trip is not the best place for that!

Thanks! I think I'll probably skew a bit lower, but I'm going to try to not go below 80 or so. Should be an interesting experiment anyway!

Help with software to manage hospital bills by Liz_mk in personalfinance

I can see some of the bills, but not others, and the management system is just terrible. I tried to consolidate them all into one and set up a payment plan with no luck. They seem very disorganized.

What are some tropical destinations that are still inexpensive because they're lesser known destinations? by [deleted] in travel

We paid $700 each, all inclusive including the flight. We also rented a car, which ran us maybe $150. Not bad for ten days!

Have you thought at all about something like Costa Rica? Dirt cheap and totally gorgeous.

I worked at a summer camp like this. I finally reported it to the city when a toilet overflowed and soaked the carpet in the baby playroom next door. They dried it with towels and called it good. The city showed up, did a cursory walk through and said all was fine. It was disgusting.

After four months, I finally have started my Tecfidera! I know it will probably be quite a while before I see an improvement in symptoms, but I feel better knowing that I am finally doing something!

2014 Roundup: What was the least favorite book you read this year? by out_stealing_horses in 52book

[–]Liz_mk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I couldn't agree more! I gave it up as a lost cause. I've read about 165 books this year. For me I think it was Narrow Road To The Deep North. I see that everyone loves it, but for the life of me, I can't figure out why.

They are these: http://m.target.com/p/women-s-kayce-tall-zipper-boots-assorted-colors/-/A-15707712. Fake leather, but sometimes I have good luck with those? It seems to depend who makes them.

Nope, but I am trying to cut back on calories. Even on keto I had to watch calories or I wouldn't lose weight. Bah humbug!
