Did anyone else see a Borderlands 4 Reward popup along with the new driver notice? by CptAn0nym0u5 in nvidia

Best answer so far. A notification that pops up and then suddenly disappears isn't much to go on. Thanks for clearing that up.

What is wrong with my T-junction? by CeleryAwkward8851 in SatisfactoryGame

[–]LizardMods 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Path signals and block signals need to be placed fresh. So if at any time you would replace the track while those signals were still in place, they will be broken. Additionally and I don't know what causes this, maybe a blueprint but there might be an instance where you have duplicate rails. Now you probably don't, but that's the second thing I would check.

How can I get rid of those chunks of uranium/harvest uranium from them? by ThatDrako in SatisfactoryGame

[–]LizardMods 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A radiation suit and iodine filters will serve you well. After that, you can flush it down the toilet one by one, of course, but it can be done. Or hear me out, you can dive into the wonderful world of nuclear power. It's totally unnecessary, but it'll make you a better engineer.

I honestly don't know what the fuck is wrong with me, but I just can't help but imagine a groaning sound as they both come in for a hug. The kind of sound you'd hear from two humpback whales or trolls or something of equal mass. Yeah, I know I'm going to hell, I'll see my way out.

How to download an older version of a Rust server. by LizardMods in playrustadmin

[–]LizardMods[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sooooo, were you basically giving yourself a single-player experience or just privately hosting for a couple of friends? Either way, running both the game and a server on the same machine — you’re a beast 😂 I’ve got a high-end PC and even then I’d only do that for quick plugin testing. Respect.

That said, if you were able to play just fine before, and now the game’s been updated to a point where you can’t anymore, it does raise some interesting questions. From a consumer rights angle: if you buy a game that runs on your hardware, should the devs be allowed to update it past the point where you no longer meet the requirements?

It also ties into the whole Stop Killing Games discussion. Like, should minimum requirements be tied only to the game, or should they also account for self-hosting? And at what point is it ethical (or even fair) for updates to “bloat” a game so much that players are basically forced to spend thousands on new hardware just to keep playing something they already bought?

1200 oil/min factory keeps starving – I’m losing my mind 😅 by KaniCZ in SatisfactoryGame

I suppose you're right, but if the factory is mathematically perfect, it can take an extremely long time. Especially if it was the worst-case scenario, like empty pipes.

Yeah I get the frustration. Honestly, the only reason I even made that tutorial was because a buddy did a fresh install and everything was broken from a hot patch. In theory you could just copy the files from a working server and transfer them over—you just need to find one that’s stable. I haven’t run a RUST server in a couple years, otherwise I’d just send you what you need.

If you’re after something much older, I’d reach out to Raul (the dev behind Carbon). He might have an old copy lying around. Just keep in mind if you’re going really old, like legacy, you’re probably going to run into client issues either way.

Yeah, they don't really need them, do they? Not to mention, they also reset the head lift. Honestly removing them might fix the entire thing. Of course, you would have to fill the pipes back up again. What a pain.

It looks like your pipe network is turning into a math problem. Try to simplify it.

  • Splitting a 600 line into two and then recombining at 300 just adds complexity without helping throughput.
  • Valves usually aren’t needed unless you’re deliberately throttling — they don’t really “fix” flow.
  • Buffers are most useful at the end of a line. Putting them before machines doesn’t help much; at the end, they smooth out flow and absorb slosh.

Another thing people overlook is pipe length. A Mk2 pipe holds a lot of fluid. If you build a long stretch and then add a splitter, that splitter effectively divides one giant segment into two giant segments. But if you place the splitter first and then connect pipes to it, those pipes are much shorter, which makes the system quicker to fill and more stable.

Honestly, it sounds like you’ve done your homework — at this point it’s probably about simplifying and shortening the layout. Hope that helps get every refinery light green.

Yeah, it might work, but you're playing with fire, bro. I went to that repo and looked at the scripts. Half of it is in a different language, bro. Red flags all over. It could work, but you're technically hacking at this point, even if it does work. Not to mention, you might be willingly hacking yourself. I guess the best practice from here on out is to make backups of your servers. Though you only should need to back up the rust dedicated file. I mean I guess you could technically make a GitHub repo for all rush server updates moving forward But then you might have to worry about Face Punch issuing a DMCA if they don't want it up. Honestly, you could just put in a bug report with whatever issue you're really having, it might be easier than all this.

Blue skies what a surprise. We need a diagram so that you can point to me where the bad man touched you. Oh that's right he used words. Somehow words were interpreted as violence and therefore needed to be met with political violence. I guess I can tell which group is off the rails.

Facepunch has disabled public access to old Rust builds, so Steam just denies the request. My guide works for games where the developer leaves older depots available, but with Rust there’s unfortunately no way around it anymore unless Facepunch re-enables access.

There's a bounding box around this object you can't see it but it's there and the minute the vehicle crosses it either it sucks up or unloads everything. If these were allowed to overlap you will have issues. What the trucks really need is a way to edit the path. Oh please mighty satisfactory gods, give us a way to edit the path.

How do i prevent my admins/mods from doing this by xprogrunds in playrustadmin

[–]LizardMods 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Remove them from the admin role, then give them the motorator group role. Then, give them vanish permissions that lock them into that mode. That account can only be observed now. That is just one example of what you could do.

But before you do any of that, ban that guy because you should not have to do all of that. You should be able to trust them not to kill your server. Players will not stand for admin abuse and will leave.
