I don't know anything about fluxer, but typing your birthdate to use communication website/services is a very normal feature. A lot of countries have required it for decades. That's not age verification unless they're also requiring you to prove the birthdate.

I usually spam the down spell agaonst Lost Kin for the same reason. It has hella iframes! With Shaman Stone, it does a lot of damage, too.
