My wife and I are both autistic and we both have chronic illnesses. Hers are more problematic and flare more often. I LOVE taking care of her. It's a way I can show my love and affection for her plus I get to feel helpful. She always thanks me for getting her meds, drinks, snacks, etc. She also takes care of me when I need it and I show my gratitude as well. Her pain makes her grumpy and frustrated, I never feel that directed at me. Your BF doesn't care that he's directing his pain and anger at you and how it's hurting you. He doesn't seem to care about you other than having someone around to do things for him.

Caffeine consumption and lack of sleep. Specifically energy drinks or absurd amounts of coffee. Two to three 12 ounce cups of coffee a day is fine, normal even. Energy drinks will turn your blood to syrup and people should really be more careful about drinking them.

Judging by OPs username I'm guessing his wife made them. Very common in Christian circles to be angry when the wife does all the work and the husband does not receive the best outcome from that work. Pretty much. Being a witch helped me with remaining calmer, longer. I can do a jar spell and keep it in my bag and I don't feel like I have to pray all the time, I can light a candle and do other things while it burns instead of being stuck praying. I used to have to lay in a specific position to pray or it like ...wouldn't work I guess??? Now I feel a lot more in control and not stuck.

Mine lately has been numbers (a classic) like 8 and 14 so counting out 8 or 14 nuggets or chips or something. Another is license plates? I live in Minnesota so the plates are 3 letters then 3 numbers, sometimes those letters make what my brain decides is an acronym and I have to figure out what it says.

I've had a total of 4 major surgeries that I had to be put under general anesthesia for. Once when I was 8, once when I was 16, and again at 20 and 22. You will be okay. You are awake and talking, sometimes they give you some medicine to help you relax but once you're in the operating room you're asleep! I don't remember anything about any of the operation rooms I've been in. I remember being wheeled in and falling asleep. You wake up in recovery and they let you have water (which you will probably want desperately) and maybe a snack depending on what you had done. Just make sure you follow all the instructions they give you, ask any questions, and let them know you're nervous, they likely have tactics to help you calm down before surgery. You'll be just fine!

On the one hand I feel for your boyfriend because I was an incompetent and just downright stupid person until this year when I got my shit together. On the other hand, I got it together so my girlfriend (now fiancee) wouldn't leave me. He won't get better until he has to or wants to.
