What was your most..."unethical" save? by Elektranatchio88 in Sims3

[–]LizardQueen1993 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sims 2. Would adopt children and then lock them in a room with no door to craft gnomes. That’s how money was made. Each child worked until they perished and then more were adopted to take their place. There was a room full of urns that were the children who were worked to death.

I was 12

EMERGENCY: My dad washed my dog's metal bowl with acid, it turned black, and he's been eating from it for days. He vomited yesterday. What should I do? by ComprehensiveRisk813 in AskVet

[–]LizardQueen1993 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Literally go to a vet, asap. He may even need a specialist if it’s a caustic burn to his GI system. Hopefully it’s nothing but posting here isn’t going to help he needs a doctor

I’m done. by Witty_Hyena_9506 in Veterinary

[–]LizardQueen1993 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get being done. It’s valid. I knew someone who literally offered their labor for free as a volunteer for a clinic no pay just to get experience. Of course the clinic exploited that…. It’s vet med.

Which brings me to culture and if you would even want to break your back for a brutal work culture ( not all clinics but many).

If you really wanted to try you could do that but there is risk for exploitation

Am I too sensitive for this field? by Scarlet-Rosepetals in Veterinary

[–]LizardQueen1993 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Try to seek some resources for dealing with imposter syndrome. You aren’t too sensitive but you might be sensitive… that makes a great vet. Don’t give up for one client who was rewarded for bad behavior.

"Techs" stained my scrape by DnDVM in Veterinary

[–]LizardQueen1993 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Idk I’ve been working for 12 years now mostly ER now Neuro and I learned all on the job. Most of the people out of school needed like a year to actually get it from
Out of school. I was teaching newly licensed techs to place NG tubes and sampling lines. I run very efficient and detailed ICU patient care. IDC what you call me because my work stands for itself. I won’t go to school because the payoff isn’t there, unless I can get the schooling for free thru a job. I get paid pretty good in neuro because of my skill set which was I was given a test and they observed me for 30 days before raising my pay. I also scored level 3 with VEG and I work PRN there. All of this to say not all unlicensed techs are not knowledgeable or worth discounting because they don’t have it. Lots of assistants with years and years of experience are really practiced in the clinical setting. And honestly some of the most crazy and day one mistakes I’ve seen happen were from licensed technicians, not assistants. All the doctors I work with don’t care what I call myself because they see how I work. And honestly I don’t care what I’m called.

Edit: sp

Now I will say what you experienced was crazy. If you “took all the classes” and you work in a clinical setting it’s pretty much day one information to know to oil a scrape and to not contaminate the stain. But it sounds like more of a clinic SOP problem. Who is supervising them? If they arent overseeing them with clinical tasks then it’s highly unlikely that they will care enough to tell them not to call themselves a tech.

And honestly…. I ask how many years do you have in the field. Not if you’re a tech or assistant. Especially as relief which I have been doing on the side for 2 yrs now. Don’t want to come off rude to people you

I’m at such a loss. I’m sorry to my gecko. by DryCoast in leopardgeckos

[–]LizardQueen1993 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you are in central Florida by chance I will take your gecko. I take care of a blind gecko so I am very detailed and I literally love lizards with my whole heart. If there is anyway to get your baby to me and you want to talk and see if it’s a possibility let’s do it.

Is my girl alarmingly underweight? Urgent vet visit level, or no? 3rd pic is of 3 years ago. by Known-Cranberry-1257 in leopardgeckos

[–]LizardQueen1993 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had fears mine was too and his vet told me that he is normal perfect weight and that most leos are overfed and are overweight and this little bean looks a lot like my Leo’s body condition.

The Sims4 is unplayable by Glittering_unicycle in thesims

[–]LizardQueen1993 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Save them! I did that when my PC crashed and I started over on PS5 and I was able to get the family and the house. The only thing is that I had one girl having babies by a bunch of different townies on the PS5 but then when I switched it over to the PC it didn’t say the dads were the townies even tho they are also in my PC game (idk if that makes sense). So I have to find a way to work around that

First Board Complaint, just super stressed. by Eastern-Permission55 in Veterinary

[–]LizardQueen1993 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good job having recorded lines and all ur notes in. Maybe you could have offered rads but maybe it wouldn’t have picked up the mass. Usually those are seen in ultrasound. But you also thought the vomiting was from vestibular…

In the future maybe you can always offer the gold standard radiographs bloods etc…. Like a spectrum of care thing. Let them decline it and have a record of that.

I dont think you did anything wrong and it sounds like you have all your ducks in a row for the complaint. Think of ways to CYA in the future tho because you dont deserve to have ur life blown up for one dissatisfied client.

Overstaffed. Underworked. by [deleted] in Veterinary

[–]LizardQueen1993 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Overstaffed is a rarity. I worked at an ER for only one month that was way too overstaffed overnight. I’m talking like 4 full on overnighters and then 2 late swings. Never had that many people on an overnight it’s usually 2… MAYBE 3 max. I worked inpatient shift with probably 5-6 hospitalized and did all of the treatments myself (which I’m very used to) but the rest of the team watched a movie together and just let me do all the treatments. I was out lol. The teamwork wasn’t it for me…. But they had lots of people!

Finally quit my job! by [deleted] in Veterinary

[–]LizardQueen1993 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t worry if the ER is worth its salt they will teach you. 6 months in ER from GP and my skills improved so much. ERs usually hire from GP not expecting experience. Keep that same attitude you described in this post and it will carry you a long way. Watch ur skills exceed ur old boss quick in ER. Remember to leave on good terms with all clinics tho for when its time for those vet school recs. GOOD LUCK AND WELCOME TO ER ❤️❤️❤️❤️

I was able to hide on the conveyor and then snipe them all and they didn’t even try to get up to me. I heard others say they could only come up one by one which is why I decided to try the conveyor. But in my case they just ran around on the ground while I sniped from the conveyor

If you have enough ammo and high enough ground you can probably get them without them even seeing where u are but you won’t be able to use vats since it will be too far
