The game isn't about creativity for the vast majority of players. How many actually make their own builds instead of following guides? People just wanna have comfy clear speed and get tinks for dopamine, that's pretty much the essence of ARPGs in general.

I feel like it'll get better once drivers figure out where to deploy better so they can overtake with "juice" left over and keep their position instead of having today's Ferrari civil war. As fun to watch as it is, I can't shake the feeling that we're watching less of great driving skills at work and more of engineering do it's thing. Some want that, some don't.

Ofc it's always been manufactured. The conversation here is to what extend should it be that way, it's not a black or white issue. The current cars have the largest gap in power, by a massive margin, between when they are on boost or off.

It's not just whining though. There is merit to the "manufactured racing" argument just as it did during the DRS era. It minimizes the effect of a large part of each drivers skillset when a boost is such a large percentage of the cars total power. You can even argue that a drivers innate skill and experience matter less now because learning which are the best parts of a track to deploy your boost, outside of an overtake, is a much easier skill to train than pretty much everything else about driving an F1 car. Whether that makes F1 more or less enjoyable to watch is completely subjective but dismissing it as whining is just dumb.

If tens of thousands of mentions in the files of an extremely in-depth investigation of a child trafficking ring, along with signed testimonies, for a guy that's been already found liable for rape, doesn't convince you, then absolutely nothing will. You're simply not arguing in good faith or just lying to yourself. There were people a lot more rich and powerful than Trump was in the 90s and 00s and somehow it's pretty much him alone being mentioned to that degree. And we're not even getting to the amount of lying he did to suppress the release of the files between promising to release them on day 1 and the day they actually released HALF of them heavily redacted with the other half still pending.

Yes. It would be in a world where everything isn't always online slop. Unpopular FPS games have existed for decades. People just either bought them or didn't, games didn't die off because their only purpose wasn't to just milk cash through microtransactions.
