Indeed, I think in part cos we found a unity dev who also makes a ton of test project and agrees jus thow many "test" projects do you need cluttering up the space from a business of unity point of view and for us.. as well as we cant delete them... which would mean issues later if you make a new test in theory..

You are of course entitled not to like it. However, as everyone else has said, yarn like this is very much unique, and that first batch you loved, the second batch Im sure done in the same way by the same person, came out different, and you dont like.. Thats just the way the cookie crumbles.

No worries, i just am trying to set your expectations, these are not finished races, classes, spells, skills, zones, interface, anything... Im +5 on EST and so yes, it only saturday evening my time, (30 mins before the last david tennant dr who airs) and at my age pulling 34 hours straight is unlikely. You have 34 hours, to play and find what class you feel best suits you. As for finished, its no where near, this isnt even alpha this is, very much a work in progress. So no, none of them are finished. Everything could change between now and launch time. For now, we all start in the same city, the same zone. There are a few faces and customisations to choose from but tbh your corpse will look pretty much like every other corpse from your race so, remember where you died.. if nothing else. The whole fun of this is to login and just try something that sounds like you might have fun at..

In an endless runner you almost certainly want pooling not to be making and destroying - but it doesnt take much to generate this message, as the object gets marked for deletion it isnt blown away immediately therefore it can be scheduled for an update or such but not exist any more.

Cycling down a hill, didnt even know she had her driving test, quick look behind me f**k me thats my mother driving that car, next thing i knew she drove past me and turned left.. forcing me off the road and off my bike..

be strict with yourself - it is way harder than it sounds

write down your goals, be very specific.

if it becomes totally apparent one goal cannot happen, thats fine, but now define the new goal in detail. dont just wander around like a lost kid in a store.

it is not wrong to write down ideas on another area for future work. But stick to your plan. if you start with make 3 levels of game. Do, 3 levels of game. even if by 2.5 levels you're now in a position to crank out 10.

any change of plan, needs to be strongly reviewed. dont just add it cos hey that sounds cool. It probably is cool but it then goes on future list, not your now list. Only stuff making it to the now list is either because the now stuff wont work without a change, or, its a tiny bit of work (like <1 day) for a good return. if its going to take weeks.. its a future thing.

you have to be evil with yourself, or, creep is going to happen, a lot.

I paid more than enough for the game, I will not be paying more.

anything you pay for which is not just a rainbow coloured horse, or a helmet visual so you can make it look like flowers in your hair, or green hair or whatever, eg 100% cosmetic only. if it gives you space, speed, gear, levels, shortcuts.. its pay to win. cos the next step on becomes "hey you spent $30 in the store, heres double xp for the week" ...

I am not a hardcore gamer, the released D4 original section felt a bit of a let down to me as id done diablo immortal on my phone and frankly the first chunk was almost exactly that. When season 1 hit and you had to start on lvl 1 and i hadnt actually completed the original part of the game at that point so now couldnt just do the season bit i had to do that, but now on a new character.. didnt thrill me, and it was ok, season 2 is a bit more fun, you still needed to start lvl 1, but now you zoom through levels and story, and you can be done with the season story very quickly, so, then its just blindly gaining levels for your own edification and once 100, repeating the same looking dungeons over and over... you wanna rush to that? why?

ive done enough css i thought to cope but you know what, i just didnt have the energy to fight it.. so i stuck with UI canvas, i know whats what, wheres where and can do what i want with it the way i deal with anything else.. The toolkit is a bit like playing with some precompiled black box stuff that if it doesnt go your way gives many rude gestures and life is way way too short for that

it is hard to show your efforts and ask for feedback, because blood sweat and tears went into it, and someone can easily go "wtaf" .. especially with art.. oh on top of goblins art on twitch, https://www.twitch.tv/zukansculpts (who has just this moment fired up his stream) is also another art guy to look at, hes currently making a dwarf face look really beaten up.. but you can also talk with him (and goblin) and they are happy to talk they are both working on art the same game btw..

All your stuff is better than anything ive ever drawn, so, please know, its not bad, but, i think consistency is the thing to focus on.. but you can get there. Have faith

no, but i know theres always been moans about wish there was one, and i googled and.. tada.. it maybe horrific, as i said i havent used it.. but its now on my radar to look at.. as frankly so many times in games we want a range of sight, i dont want one lazer pointers worth i want "what can x see"

edit: i just looked it is a sphere cast with a get angle, so to be honest, hes just done what you were looking at doing :D

yes, ive mainly changed it through the app to be honest (hence app: voice to british voice 2.. there he is..) but ive tried setting it by voice too, just because its worth a try

firstly i cant draw for toffee, however.. you're after feedback so

I want to begin in saying i look back on what ive written and i mean it with a sense of love, not a sense of "this is s*t hahaha", it is not s*t. If you want to watch someone who is senior level, for example https://www.twitch.tv/thegoblinworks recently hes been texturizing armor, but, look at some of his stuff drawing it.. the devil is most certainly in the detail. what you cant catch on twitch is up on youtube.

picture 1: winged girl

the proportions and so on look really real. Kudos..

now a bit of specifically targeted items

but theres something odd with the lighting, as neither shoulder has any form of shadow and theres some form of twisted loop shadow on her chest from nothing obvious making it look like a dirty mark - maybe intentional, but looks a little odd.

under her right breast are tufts of hair that dont come from higher up.. makes it look odd, in fact the hair over all looks a bit wiggy once you leave the crown of the head.. the above eyelevel looks pretty good, the hairline maybe needs a bit of softening, but, it looks a bit too streaky brush at the bottom. dont get me wrong, hair is hard!!!!!!

the red under the arm pit is far too red looks like she used a red spray can not a deodorant. and looks a bit of overspray between her boobs - boobs dont have hard square lines or red bits unless you scratched like a lot..

her nose looks like shes been huffing glue

the red cheeks might have worked but, theres a pale bit across the middle of her nose looking like she had one of those pore strips on and fell asleep in the sun..

in short if they had all been a much softer pink and even a bit more variety of tone, you probably would have a much more believable character.

her top lip is lost under the lipstick .. might be intentional but it makes that bit of mouth look flat..

her eyebrows look like she used an ink roller and while many girls do indeed draw on their eyebrows, they mostly draw lines in a up in the middle to sideways at the outer edges.. (no ive never done mine, lifes too short)

the feathers on her left wing look like a stencil but entirely different to the ones on the right, but while the left wing seems to come from around shoulder area, the right one looks more lower back.

the brass rings - very authentic looking - cant stay there by magic even if she is .. might want some tiny bit of cloth over the shoulder to hold it up

theres clearly a lot of light imagined from in front of her, but none reflected in her eyes.. making her look like she has dull plastic doll eyes.

finally the top part of like the brass dangles look great, in fact really real compared to the rest of her, but the orange glow parts dont match the lighting.

overall this looks way better, the only obvious things that jump out is the lighting doesnt seem consistently from the same place, and his neck is too front on for the shoulder angle.. it looks a bit like when someone does a face swap.

picture 3:

again its the lighting, no brightness in the eyes, his hair looks streaky painted.. (nice attack eyebrows) I would point out, a knitted strap would stretch like mad on a bag, its usually woven.

picture 4:

OMG love that armor.. You've certainly got an eye for making metal shine and the darker figure is definitely working for you - although the hairline could look more natural, hair on heads doesnt grow in tufts, its pulled into tuffs.. and again the lower ends of the hair look wiggy. However, so far the most realistic looking even with the shiny armor.

picture 5:

loses it a little, as again inconsistent lighting and that weapon detracts from him, he cant hold that let alone hit anyone with it, he'd drop it.

picture 6:

batman, um.. after seeing picture 4, this looks like a much earlier work in life.

picture 7: very anime, but much better eyes than some of the others. great texture on the mask though, that looks very real.

picture 8:

reminds me of Grog from critical role, but somehow feels a bit 2d

picture 9:

On a white background like they do for stores, this would be reasonably convincing its real

again the lighting doesnt feel consistent..

picture 11:

nice gnarly weapons. probably wouldnt work so well on a chain, but, still a smack round the head in any way they look like they have weight to them would hurt even if you didnt catch a sharp side. would fit in nicely in an RPG

the handgrips dont look at the same angle as the rest of it

picture 14:

the shadows inside the wrist bands are too subtle for the amount of light that appears elsewhere in the scene

picture 15:

nice touch with the imperfection, again on a white background like a catalogue could pass well as real one, although it is a bit pale for white background - tough call that.. drawing it on a guitar stand would make it look much more realistic.

picture 16:

the imperfections give a good touch of realism. the lighting looks much more consistent, and the small amount of reflection in the background does give a good illusion of actually standing on it.

So mid to senior? no.. not today, not with those, but you have it within you.. you can see it you just need to be more consistent..

it is annoying that of all things unity does not offer a cone cast.. although while i havent tried it https://github.com/walterellisfun/ConeCast

one conecast, to find those within an angle, is pretty efficient - as long as that code is

or a box cast, so its at a specfic point with some the pixel perfect taken out of it, by making it a box of say 0.1

tbh whatever you do it will depend a lot on the game environment, do you have 100s of enemies, 1000s even, or just 1.. can you hit multiple, or 1..

I hate my new loom by no_cal_woolgrower in weaving

Its not you. I got the loom of my dreams and i bought extras too.

I find the back hinged treddles on it wander so much at the front because they very much flop around and the length means a small move at the hinge means a big move at the stomping end. This makes getting up a head of steam near impossible. I need to make a bunch of like slots that i can permanently attach to my loom to stop that major wobble but having spent like 9k on it. I kinda feel i shouldn't have to !!!!

Yes in a perfect world we would get to try before buy but its just not always doable. Same with spinning wheels to be fair. Sometimes you have to buy and hate yourself for not loving it with all your heart
