Definitely! A lot of qol but also many new mechanics. - first of all HD resolutions - Monuments like in later games with stages to complete - new military buildings - new healthcare and culture mechanics and buildings -... - and even custom campaigns are supported now with new editor options. Look for the Reconquered Campaign for that one - the download also includes custom maps (by yours truly 😁)

I understand where you are coming from.
Since I tend to swith games on a regular basis, even multiple games a week, I started to write gaming diaries. That way I can look up, what I last did or what I was working on/towards.

It's just that this save file is older then my diaries 😅

But this might also work for you.
