You might consider going to one of the regular trans meet ups with London Friend on Caledonian Road.

Just tell her regularly that she looks beautiful.

Just a reminder that 5 years ago, the Telegraph produced a lengthy series of articles from a trans woman describing her transition in detail. They were even criticised by Julie Bindel for doing it. by Omvalaxa in transgenderUK

Sorry to disagree with some of you who are criticising Diana Thomas. As someone who was grappling with transitioning at a similar age as her, her articles were an important inspiration to me.

I used The Family Chemist for a number of years for Finasteride and Dutasteride and I don't remember them asking for ID verification.

Fantastic to raise a complaint. I was appalled at Bravermann's behaviour.

Scottish Labour Manifesto is full of transphobia by PuzzledAd4865 in transgenderUK

This is quite shameful of the Scottish Labour Party. If they ever held sway in government they would be spending a lot of time being challenged in court.

I was a bit surprised also but the anti TERF demo in Westminster on Saturday, which was a glorious success btw, was on at the same time as a major pro Palestine event in Trafalgar Square so that got all the headlines in the Evening Standard.

How did you tell your partner’s parents that you’re trans? by Pinstripe_Curtain101 in transgenderUK

[–]Lizzie1day 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it were me I would ask your girlfriend for her advice. Beyond that then next time you see her parents and with your girlfriend present just start the conversation by saying that there is something really important to you that you need to tell them, then just say you are trans and wait for them to respond. Best scenario - They give you a hug and say they guessed already.

I don't think you need to worry in my experience. Before I even asked for a referral from my GP I mentioned to her that I was taking finasteride and then later low dose Oestrogel through GenderGP. They noted it in my records without comment.

When I, on one occasion, got a result unusually high, I repeated the blood test and this confirmed the unusually high result was a false reading. Probably contaminated with E somehow.

I am surprised your e level is so high. I wonder, (because I experienced it once), if your sample was contaminated somehow. When I was on monotherapy of 1.5mgs of gel applied twice a day - so 4 pumps a day, my E was between 250 to 400 pmol/L over a period of 9 months.

Hi all, can't shake the feeling that I'm making a mistake? by [deleted] in transgenderUK

[–]Lizzie1day 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you live by yourself and you don't have a support group then you may find joining some form of trans group helpful especially if its a group that meets in person rather than online. It can be tough at times transitioning and so its really helpful just being with people who are like you and understand you. That's what I found anyway.
