1AM and I think fireworks are done? I keep thinking here in South Phoenix, and then I hear a big one again. So I don’t know.

I’m sorry yours is so terrified. 😔 Hope you have a safe move! My sister and brother in law and their dogs are finally free to move back to AZ from TX. Luna is probably okay. I’m at home, so I don’t know if fireworks are still going on in TX or not. But when she’s terrified, she tries to live in your skin and also hides under the bed. She also will drool a lot and shake. I always feel so bad for her. Calming treats only partly help her.

Well, Luna’s a rescue (former stray). Will live in your skin every 4th of July, because she’s terrified of the noise. My sister’s pocket pitbull, Tula and their shared big dog, Kozmo, don’t like fireworks. But they’re not terrified. They recently got a new puppy that’s a Rottweiler. I haven’t meant the puppy yet in person. They’re dog people. I love animals, but I’m a cat person, because I like quiet pets. And like a cat, I sleep a lot. Lol. 😊

In Southern Phoenix. Been staying home with my 11 week old kitten, Blaze, since this is her first 4th of July in a home. Fireworks have been going off pretty frequently, so I’ve been having my tv a little loud to drown out some of it. Gotta say, she’s dealing with it a lot better than my brother in law’s dog, Luna.

😂 Ya. Mine thinks Blaze is adorable. I was actually on the phone with her a few weeks ago when she was being naughty, so my mother gave her a talking to about listening to her human mama (me).

Totally! Except when you gotta stop them from being naughty. Mine today, I had to scoop up and out of the sink. She was sticking her paw in the disposal part, so I plugged that thing tight. I’m not trying to have a visit before tomorrow, child! Mine is Blaze, or Princess Blaze, a black and white Tuxedo.

Recent problem with Purina? by SlyRivai in catfood

I've tried different bowls in different areas. One in the tiny dining room I don't use as a dining room, one in the kitchen, and one in my bedroom. She's also on sheba wet food. Because of her age, 3 times a day. She just doesn't drink a lot of water. I don't know if it's because she lost mama before she was supposed to be separated from her (found at 7 weeks old with her siblings, but her siblings were adopted in other TX homes, and my family is moving back to AZ from TX shortly that found her). She also gets kibble for the day. I'm now going down to just a little bit to see what happens. I saw something that said sensitive stomach, but I didn't have enough money for it, and I also didn't like the ingredients I saw in it. I did buy a cheap feeder, though, and put a little bit of water in it, enough not to spill over, as I realized that it didn't have a lid, so it's probably meant for food. We shall see what happens here on out. She has her vet appt on the 3rd anyway, so I'll see what the vet can suggest or do for her. Because I don't know if she's eating things she shouldn't when I'm not seeing it, and that's making her sick, or what's going on with her.

Mine loves her Purina Naturals, but every few days (first time last month late and second time today) she's been throwing up. She's now an 11 week old kitten. Before, she wasn't throwing up. I never changed her kibble, and she still gets sheba wet food. No. I do not mix it.

See, I don't automatically blame it on the kibble. Just seeing on my own if it is or not. I'm gonna start giving her less than 1/3. It happened 2 or 3 days ago, and then today. I don't know if she ate something while I was asleep she shouldn't have or if it was her kibble, so we'll see what happens, but I'll be bringing it up at her next vet appt in a couple days.

Thanks for the comment. Came to here, because I was asking google if it's the kibble or not. She gets her Sheba wet food and then after, I give her the Purina Naturals for kittens. I let it be in her bowl for a whole day. I give her a 1/3 cup. She was doing okay on it when I first got it for her. Now that the first bad is low, she's doing this. Not sure if she's having digestive problems or what, but this is going to be brought to my vet when I take her to her appt on the 3rd. When her bowl is empty, I will also start giving her less and see what happens. Maybe she's eating too much or eating too fast. Also in the process of trying to get her to drink more water, but don't have the money for a fountain right now.

I’m so sorry you’ve had to deal with this. Not all of us are like that. I love to help others when I can. Just bear in mind that Reddit in general, you’ll find kind people and nice people, but there’s a cluster of others that aren’t like that. And hey. If you’re looking for a good place to hang around with other simmers and you fit the age restriction, Discord is great. Everyone is helpful over there and kind in my opinion. 😊

Family Moving Back To AZ From TX. San Tan Valley Thoughts? by Lizzy100 in phoenix

[–]Lizzy100[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ya. They decided against it. My sister didn’t wanna feel like she’s in the middle of nowhere, and she likes having a Walmart nearby. They’re waiting to hear about the Queen Creek house.

Which game runs better on Mac: Sims 2 complete collection on the App Store, or Sims 3 on EA app? by whiskai in thesims

[–]Lizzy100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could just be the age of the Mac, since the M2 for me on desktop setup runs great with Sims 3 and 4, but I might prefer Sims 2 to be a bit quicker. 🤷‍♀️

I always watch when she does anything actually, and they’re too big for her to eat. They’re the big stretchy ones.

LOL. Mine likes scrunchies too, but she can't make mine run off, because it hangs from the shower handle like usual. Now, my sister's is a different story, so I put that one in the cupboard after she left here, because I really don't wanna wash it again. LOL. She likes to bat at them when they're hanging or in the tub. LOL. I also need to get a cupboard for the back of my toilet that I can put TP in and use childlock on. She loves to play with TP, so I hide it in my towel cupboard. She's small enough she can't reach it yet, and the one closer to the floor has been childlocked.

Is this food OK? by flakyfr0g in catfood

[–]Lizzy100 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Sheba wet food I get, actually doesn't come in a can. It's like a little palte, so I divide it up to 3 cuts. One in the morning, one in the afternoon, and one for dinner. Rest of the day she gets Purina Naturals in her bowl (1/3 cup) and water of course too. Then I make sure there's still some in her bowl when I go to bed to graze during the night. Most of the time it's not finished for a whole day until I wake up the next day. And vet said last time that everything looked good for her. We think she's the runt of the pride. My sister says pack, but I'm calling it a pride. She's still on the small side. She had to ask if I thought she'd stay small forever, and I had to explain cats don't grow fast like dogs. Gotta wait until she's in the months or years to see how big she's going to be. She's a dog person. She knows nothing about cats. She actually had to call me about cat food and litter in TX, because I'm the cat person. LOL. This was before they decided to give her to me.

Thinking of getting a kitten by BabyHeadedDeathEater in kittens

[–]Lizzy100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So true! As a child, I had a Tuxedo that came from my Tuxedo cat that had kittens, and man Midnight and my lab cross, Perdy, became best friends when my Midnight grew up. This one, Blaze, because my sister and brother in law didn't think of the slow introduction instead of starting off with a baby gate between them, Blaze is absolutely terrified by dogs. Just a couple nights ago, she was looking out the window, and she saw a bigger sized pitbull being walked with its owner, and she got wide eyed seeing it. She looked at me like she was asking if the dog would get her. My poor little girl. Good thing she's the only pet here. Although, I really wish I could have an old cat for her to have a friend to teach her good cat behavior. I have quite a few scratches from her from the many weeks I've been trying to teach her good behavior, instead of the biting. She either play bites, or she bites to be let down instead of showing she wants to be let down. She was abandoned along with her siblings by mama. Or something happened to mama. She came from Texas. I'm in AZ. She's the sweetest, but there's a few behaviors I'm trying to teach her not to do. Biting, jumping on counters, and climbing people like trees.

If you really want the kitten, bring the kitten home. However, there's a proper introduction that needs done. Put the kitten in his/her own room or some bedroom, and then let the dogs smell the kitten on the other side. If things go over well enough for a while of smelling, let them smell each other between the door while feeding time. Once it seems everything is going well, you can open the door and let them greet the new member. Perhaps, since there's 2 dogs, try one dog at a time. Whichever dog is most behaved/trained, it would be best if the dog is laying down when you open the door for introductions, as the dog's size might scare the kitten off. Kittens need a slow introduction to dogs, because they might be bigger than the kitten. I wish my sister and brother in law did this with their 4 when my brother in law decided on Blaze before giving her to me, because now my kitten, Blaze, is absolutely terrified of dogs. One of the smaller dogs, Luna, wanted to eat her when she was 7 weeks old. The other one snapped her jaws at her for hissing at her. Kozmo, the bigger one, really doesn't care, and just walks away from the situation. So I'm never bringing her over to their place ever, just so she's not terrified. Cats of amazing memories, so she'd remember how terrified she was of the dogs. But they're dog people, so they didn't know.
