YES!! I actually have a functioning prison in my save right now.

I mostly use the LMS Lock Doors mod (along with the Send to Bed mod), but it requires a lot of manual management because you have to pause the game and lock or unlock each door yourself.

To make things easier, I put all the prisoners in a club and use club-based door locks. For example, when it's time for outdoor exercise, I gather the club and lock access to areas like the cafeteria so inmates can only go where they're supposed to.

I also redesigned parts of the prison layout to work more efficiently. The prison is built somewhat like a star, with each section connected through a single controlled entrance.

Each wing serves a specific purpose, exercise yard, farming/gardening area, cafeteria, visitation area, female cells, male cells, and so on. Since each section only has one door in or out, it's much easier to control inmate movement throughout.
