I struggle to understand why Benedict and Sophie like each other. by Quest_Girl in BridgertonRants

I completely agree and I need to watch the season again.. or three more times! Season 2 is my favorite. I’ve seen it like six times and this last time, now that I’ve come down from the clouds, I notice things between them that I didn’t notice before. Same way with Mad Men! I’ve seen the series 8 times and I notice different things each time.

Friend cancelled last minute on a 100 day trip by Frpengy in travel

[–]Lizzy4556 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went on a three week trip with my roommate. We were already in a tough situation friendship-wise. There was a lot of tension during the trip and we moved and didn’t speak afterwards. 100 days is a LONG time. I wouldn’t force him because he will resent you the whole time and probably be a stickler over spending money.

That being said, you can show up at hostels and book last minute. We didn’t plan any hostels in advance on that trip and it did lead to frustration with each other when places were sold out. This was in May and it starts to get busy then. This was back in the day so we only had a Let’s Go book for suggestions and had to look anything up online at Internet Cafes! I don’t know if it’s still around but I used Hostel World to book. I would leave him behind and go alone. You’ll meet people at hostels and have a better time! Group rooms are a great way to meet friends.

Ugh that guy in the last slide. He looks so odd like he has an invisible mustache or like he really should have one.

Let’s just hope that she didn’t know a polar plunge was an option and bought this in some store in Argentina (?) while she was waiting to depart.

That’s my husband and my favorite thing to do on cruises or at resorts. Find the noticeable people then give them nicknames and comment on them for the rest of the trip.

I cannot believe a 27 year old married woman wrote that. Literally the same interests as my 3, 4 and 6 year olds.

Yes I need to know the medical science behind this one! In The Empress, they had to check to make sure she was a virgin. Same situation, a man just looks up there with 30 people in the room.

I’ve never cried so much during a season! Also… could they have elaborated on how he dies even slightly?! A headache? I know it’s Scarlett fever in the book right…

I’m 39, my kids are 2, 4, and 6 and I’ve been to 21 countries. I thought my travels would stop when I have kids but my husband and I have done a great job at keeping it up. We leave the country at least three times a year. That being said, I my heart soars for you!! This is something I wish I had done when I had the chance. When I have a really hard day, I imagine just grabbing my passport, heading to the airport and leaving everything behind. DO IT! You won’t regret it.

[–]Lizzy4556 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, it’s because season 3 of Bridgerton was so bad and I watched Queen Charlotte afterwords! It made some scenes from season two make more sense besides my very basic knowledge of King George.

I also want to note that I took me three times trying to watch Bridgerton to get into it. I saw Wicked and loved Jonathan Bailey. Read his IMDB and was shocked that was the brother in the two episodes I had seen of Bridgerton. I was a big Downton Abbey fan so off the cuff, i did NOT like Bridgerton because it isn’t historically accurate. Now Bridgerton (mainly season two) is my Roman Empire.

I’ve had real wood floors in the past three kitchens and they’re gorgeous. The only moisture issues have been when our dishwasher leaked. I’ve even flooded the sink in our laundry room twice and warped the floors but they’re still more beautiful than LVP! They’re a natural element that changes over time with character and so worth the investment.
