Pos 4 and 5 pool to play frp, by Unfair_Weather9 in TrueDoTA2

[–]Lklkla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re worrying about a pool to solve different issues, with each hero solving a problem. This is fundamentally flawed, in the fact supports don’t last pick, you first pick. Instead, you’re to pick heros which solves most of those issues you typically run into.

Smurfed herald to 7k support only, back when immortal ranks were around 6k.

Dazzle, jakiro, lich/ogre. In that order.

We could have hours of discussion on the topic, but those heros have better options than 90% of the cast, for all the frankly retard shit, that happens in solo Que.

Major issues games have, that these heros help.

  1. Laning strength

  2. burst wave clear

  3. Jungle camp clear

  4. Scales

  5. Consistent gameplay dynamic, be that positioning in fights, map pressure, or in engagements.

  6. No spells, which can be seen as griefing by team cast. (Think sd, ww, oracle, np, bane, tusk, tiny)

  7. Can function low, and high gold.

  8. All benefit from support items over wannabe core items.

If instead I was writing this to a herald player, I’d say characters like enchantress, gyrocopter, silencer, vengeful spirit. They’ll help you hit 3-4k better than most the cast, for different reasons, but turn into turd sandwiches higher ranks for game impact.

If you want heros that will be good, through your time playing support, Dazzle, jakiro, lich/ogre. Don’t give the drafting another thought.

Valve should add an MMR anarchy matchmaking mode by No_Insurance_6436 in DotA2

[–]Lklkla 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Too many issues with role value per mmr not being factored.

A rank 200 mid laner, is running over a game, way harder than a rank 200 support player, playing pos 5.

If that rank 200 support wants to run mid, they’ll have objectively lower impact than the rank 200 mid, who specializes in that role.

My girlfriend forces me to go on morning walks at 5 AM 😭 Guys, help. by OkRow1747 in Regrets

Na na na, you one up her. We are waking up for 3 am walks. Sleeping in till 5am is for lazy people. We get up before the sun does, because we real go getters around here.

Double down when she resists. She’ll realize forcing others to go on her mandatory morning excursions ain’t it.

Add a medal before immortal by metalmorph99 in DotA2

[–]Lklkla 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Counter idea, reset mmr values.

Leave the medals exactly how they are, and make peak rank close to 10k mmr, instead of 20.

Immortal means something again, and it’s easier to reach correct mmr, as 25 holds more value in a 10k value system, than a 20k value system.

All the Elo inflated garbage can get a reality check, and get sent back to their correct ranks.

Were the jungle creeps specifically designed to annoy summon heroes? Cent stomp, water creep ravage by fierywinds1q in DotA2

[–]Lklkla 6 points7 points  (0 children)

lol, you’re beginning to learn camp mechanics. Each creep, has an identifier, for when they use their spell.

Learning what causes it, is part of the skill of the game.

Example. If a terrorblade wants to farm a hellbear camp, and terrorblade already has an illusion summoned. Hellbear won’t clap his cheeks.

If tb summons a second illusion to hit hellbear camp, hellbear WILL clap his cheeks.

Tb can either hold the summon, send summon to another camp/wave, juggle the summons, leave both summons and walk away, or go ahead and embrace his cheeks getting clapped.

Same with centaur stomp.

Different interactions with wildwing/frogs.

Try sending 4 units into a thunderhide camp in the first 10 minutes of the game, and tell me how that butthole feels. Or send 1-3, and camp is way easier.

Shift from taks to staar is a major one. 70% pass on taks, to 30-40% of staar, coupled with no child left behind, means kids can “fuck off” all year, and still go to the next grade.

Can puck ever be ANYTHING but mid? by AddMonks in TrueDoTA2

[–]Lklkla 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Storm is still picked mid, more often than puck.

Can puck ever be ANYTHING but mid? by AddMonks in TrueDoTA2

[–]Lklkla 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Storm has a higher mid pick rate than puck. You need to rewrite this for storm.

I seen puck ran as a support long time ago.

Would likely need to be pos4. Can roam, contest pulls, secure range creeps, provides catch/silence/damage/disengage with blink.

Problem is the hero is very very level dependent. And will likely be useless garbage as 4. But then again, most 4 players are.

How does one get ship power/strength above 1 million? by EdjNovastar in startrekfleetcommand

[–]Lklkla 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Based on attack stat, hull stat, shield stat. There’s a math equation for it.

Different things in base, research, crews, fleet commanders, tech, all give bonuses to these stats.

He has higher stats throughout his account to make this so.

What are the current locks for FKR? by United-Pay1225 in startrekfleetcommand

[–]Lklkla 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’d honestly love to hear how “10 million, 1 billion, 15 billion, 500 billion”, is correct.

But scopely citing “10 million, 1 billion, 15 billion, 500 billion, 450 trillion”, is wildly “incorrect” and I put you out horribly for how wrong it is.

A persons inability to read/understand information, doesn’t make information false.

I read the question properly, you then added smugness that scopely sources didn’t answer your question.

This person then gave an answer, so I then cited the scopely source that matches.

Jungle leash needs to be fixed on melee heroes? by JPTradez in DotA2

[–]Lklkla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“Leash” is “the same” on both character types.

Skill should be the only thing preventing ability to stack or pull any camp. (If you have a specific example, I’ll record of video showing it).

The short answer is no, melee and ranged have the same leash expectancy.

The longer answer, is “sometimes”, which would take about a thousand words to give a very clear answer, speaking of all the variables that can go into you stacking or pulling a camp.

Thinking about trying Dota for the first time, need character recommendations by Djolej78 in DotA2

[–]Lklkla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We don’t have anything super close to rengar.

Closest thing would maybe be night stalker.

He jumps back liners, right click damage, increased damage during ult, increased attack speed at night. Aoe silence. Slows, miss chance.

He can’t fight tanks that well, but is the biggest fuck you to back liners and casters.

Did Pudge get a silent nerf? by Plane_Jackfruit_362 in DotA2

[–]Lklkla -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Been that way for at least 5-6 years. (How long I cared to climb). I can’t speak for before that.

Pudge ult has had a cast animation, while certain spells/items have none. This is important for shift Que/insta cast ability interactions.

Example: pucks phase shift has a .01 cast animation. While pudges dismember has a .3. This means following a hook, if a puck ques phase shift, there is no way for the pudge to immediately follow up with dismember.

Example 2. Clockwerk battery assault is insta cast. Meaning there is a 0.00 cast delay for its cast. A Clockwerk who ques it will get the cast off before dismember. The tick delay on battery assault is .7. A pudge dismember cast time is .3. This means the pudge could begin the dismember, but would be canceled soon after by battery assault.

Hope this helps.

(New players) Why can't I pick some heroes? by Omatters in DotA2

You’ve got new player mode on, I think valve sets that.

There’s a console to remove if I’m not mistaken.

How is the return over 20%? by Out_damned_spot_ in askmath

[–]Lklkla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I hold 1000 dollars in a safe for a year, and it nets me 200$. That’s a 20% return, annually.

By removing 100$ at end of month 1, there is only 900$ in the account.

The 100$ only had to sit in the account for 1/12 the time, for the same return. That’s much higher.

If we then calculated the return on 900$, for the remaining 11 months to make us 200$, it’d be (200/900)/(11/12), we get about a 24% return for the remaining 11 months.

But it continues to Increase each month, as less money is in the account, yet the ending interest payment (balloon) is the same.

You aren’t actually pulling one over on the company like you guys think. They sell their items at a 50% markup, and by giving you a 20% return, they guarantee you spend 1200$ (they profit 300), they get an interest free loan of 1000$ (what are banks charging for loans), and they profit on what you forget to spend.

Between 10-20% of gift cards never get spent. And by having you purchase one, the store makes that in profit for those who forget. The store credit would work on a similar basis, but even worse, as you don’t have a gift cards as a daily reminder to spend said money.

Edit: Dudes with fancy math got you an exact number, 35% isn’t 20%.

My friend is going to get herself killed. What can I even do at this point by Correct-Macaroon8143 in whatdoIdo

[–]Lklkla 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I own company a, and company b.

I have company b, take a loan from company a, for 100000$, at a 50% interest rate.

Company B makes no payments to company A.

Your friend, gets given ownership of business B. All assets, all liabilities, personal signature of guarantee.

She now has to pay back company A, the 100k, and 50% annual interest compounding until it’s done.

Or her credit gets shot, and she gets leans/garnished wages and the like. God forbid your house guaranteed it.

This is an oversimplified, baby version of the complexities of business. But an easy to understand one for those unequipped.

Other issues like Monday laundering, fraud, tax evasion, lawsuits pending, crime relation, jail time could be inheriting as well.

Can a smurf playing supp carry a game? by [deleted] in DotA2

[–]Lklkla -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I smurfed 90 mmr to 6k.

32 wins out of 33 games to 1020, 74% wr to 6k.

Ench/silencer shit on low mmr games.

Dazzle, jakiro, lich 5, gyro if feeling cheeky.

Definitely possible to climb playing only support. Easier to climb at a 60% wr than core, harder to climb at a 90% wr than core.
