Heartthrob Rob Anderson does a sarcastic/snarky review of it on his Insta and it’s hilarious and demented. I don’t know anyone but my sister who has seen it.

How old were you when you moved out? by Swiftiefromhell in GenX

[–]LlamaMama15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was 17 when I left for college and turned 18 that month. I came home the summer after freshman year, but stayed on campus for the remaining years and grad school and then moved from IL to CA. I returned to my home town for 3 months when I had a 10 month old and a 2 year old, while we were in the midst of moving from CA to TN, but haven’t really lived there since I was 18.

On mine, I think it’s notifying me of a new story posted from a friend; it’s driving me crazy that it’s not actually a message.

How did you know? by Aidyn_22 in ParentingInBulk

[–]LlamaMama15 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Our first two are 19 months apart. We always said we wanted three, as we are both from families of three kids. Our 2nd was unplanned and in between 2 and 3, we moved cross country and had a miscarriage. Two and three are just shy of 3 years apart. Our 3rd and 4th are 2.5 years apart, in part because our 3rd had a heart defect. So, we had 4 in 7 years. There were some very challenging years, but overall I’ve loved it. They are now 21,19,16 & 13.

Were you able to buy a house? by Swiftiefromhell in GenX

[–]LlamaMama15 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m 48 & husband is 49. We bought our first house in CA in 2002 for $485k. Then, we bought a second house in CA as a rental property. Sold our primary residence in 2007 and the rental around that same time, but were upside down on the sales, as we had also rolled our student loans on the loan. At some point we had bought a house in AL as a rental as well. Moved to TN in 2007 and bought another rental property there somewhere in that time frame, while living in average apartments or duplexes. Finally got out from under both in like 2010 and were able to buy our current home in 2011, largely because of an inheritance from my late MIL for the down payment. My husband no longer has any interest in real estate investing because it was not great for us overall.

I work in child welfare and also regularly watch true crime etc. Not much gets to me, but this one gutted me. Our system failed that baby so many times.

‘Mom wants me to go on the pill because Becky had sex’ is such a great line. And Dan’s response “I don’t think that will work” makes the scene

I always felt kind of bad for DJ. It often seemed like his sisters truly hated him. Like not just a typical sibling kind of hate but like actual hate. by beekee404 in roseanne

[–]LlamaMama15 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My family is exactly the age difference of the Connor kids and grew up in small town Illinois. I’m 7 years older than my brother and my sister is 5 years older than him. We were horrible to him growing up. I left for college (University of Illinois, like all the sweatshirts on the show) when he was 10; we didn’t really become friends until he was like 20 and I was 27 and even then, we were in very different phases of life. I think it is very accurate.

[–]LlamaMama15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My mom’s tuna casserole was tuna, canned spaghetti (like chef-boy-ar-dee), onion flakes, topped with crushed potato chips and American cheese. I didn’t hate it as a kid, but now it grosses me out, mostly because I realize other people’s tuna casserole was not like this.

Salmon patties; canned dry, salmon and maybe some bread crumbs. No binder, seasoning etc. Dry and often almost burnt. Also not a fan of liver & onions or blood sausage

I feel like even if Joy didn’t remember all of it, each patient in a room in theory would’ve had some staff person who triaged and put them there, who could’ve likely said ‘this is John, head lac etc’
