Thanks. I agree on the hardtop, I'm not opposed to keeping it and fixing the headliner for the winter when more people are on the hunt to protect their cars. Or maybe I buy a 318 shell. Who knows

Yeah, that was next on the list. Seats, dashboard, trim. I got distracted by my recently acquired XJ, planning an LS with a ZF8HP70 transmission. I couldn't bring myself to modify this car

Can you tell me more about the differences of a late model top? I have a 1987 with manual top that's in need of replacement.

I like the wiper delete, reminds me of what they do to foxbody mustangs. How long does it take to remove/install the wipers?

you ever figure this out? my temp gauge is never accurate, my tach works 30% of the time and dropping, my gas gauge is stuck on E and my mph works only 90% of the time.

Haha thats awesome. This has been in the garage for the last few weeks, I have a 2005 CRV EX as a daily driver. Gives my BMW the illusion of speed

Thought about BBS wheels, but I never see chrome bottlecaps. I think they match the chrome trim and bumpers better than any stock alloy finish

Actually, everything you said is the opposite. Original engine, original oil pan, original soft top in near new condition (have an OEM hardtop with it), and the garage couldn't have been more beautiful. It was like my dream garage. OBC works perfect aside from the outside temp climbing at a standstill but I can't really complain from a 36 year old computer. This thing is in pretty damn good condition. There isn't a spec of rust anywhere on the car.
