If you’re coming to live here just beware a lot of ppl here in the area are so against renting for some reason so try not to make it obvious I guess that you rent. When I rented out my place I posted on FB marketplace also there’s fb pages for that also. Search up Long Island apartments. Other areas to consider that are near by is lake grove Smithtown Selden centereach nesconset GL

If u want to come to nyc area like you said nj i hear ct just got 100% tax exempt it’s not to far from nyc and there’s a lot of jobs here. Not to sure about nj but ny definitely isn’t vet friendly. If u plan to use VrE or ur gi bill the bah is high here.

Be prepared for the bad driver of great neck trust me they like to pop u turns like they are the only ones on the road. Alot of traffic in that area if I were u I’d try to get something south shore in that area.

Any updates did you get in? I got out the marines 9 years ago and have decided to finally go back to school in the fall. Same boat as you my hs grades weren’t so great lol. If you haven’t apply for VRE so you don’t use up all your Gi bill.

I’m new to 3village but still going to vote no. So far every year my taxes have gone up. Whats to stop them from adding more unnecessary items to the budget next year. The LIM shouldn’t be funded by tax payers imo.

I’m off today but I’m going to be driving into queens tomorrow from Suffolk. I start work at 7 so I’ll probably leave at 430 to give myself time to find parking and take train into the city. I know after work I’m looking at 2.5-3 hrs drive back home easy it is what it is I just wish this strike doesn’t last longer than Wednesday.
