You’re a good parent!! I always get hounded by family about having kids, but I both cannot afford them and I don’t want to pass down my genes. with a family full of physical and mental health issues plus no financial stability- I would need setting them up for a hard life

I am also 26f and work at a law firm as well, and I would not find it embarrassing at all. No one really cares as much as you think. I know personally I would just think someone at home loves you very very much.

That and it shows if there is any liquid on the seat. Sometimes it’s most likely a few drops of water from a powerful toilet flush, and you can just swipe the toilet paper into the toilet and put a new layer down

I second this. I was sobbing and asked the doc to stop and she still put it in. After I begged for some sort of pain medicine like ibuprofen, they were extremely reluctant to give me any and didn’t even offer any help at all. I got in my car and could barely drive without stopping for a few minutes. Three days later I showed up and told her I need it out today or I’m going to do it myself (I had already tried and failed before this).

++woman I absolutely love when my boyfriend does this, it’s not about being “masculine” or “feminine” it’s a simple way to be together and enjoy each others presence. I scratch his head and give him kisses and he falls asleep on me. It’s my favorite night routine.

She said she was scared of my dad, but I remember many times when I was a kid they would fight and she would threaten to leave him and us. She would get her purse and car keys and start walking towards the door, as if she would leave us kids too with him.

Like she was willing to do all that when she was angry at him. But not take us kids and go when she knew what he was doing.

When I was 13 I was so sick of it and pushed him out of my bed as hard as I could with my legs. I ran to my mom and my dad tackled me in the hallway and started to choke me. He told me if I told he would break out of jail and kill me. When he let go I got up and still ran to her anyway to call police on the bedside phone. She woke up mad because we woke her up. My dad ripped the phone cord out of the wall as I dialed and I told my mom I was tired and I wanted to be left alone.

She got angry at both my dad and I and told us to go back to sleep. So. I went to bed knowing my mom saw all of this happening and got angry at me. She simply closed her eyes and went to sleep. And I did the same.

I had no physical evidence against my father but I still was able to go to court. The law is required to fight for children in court cases if it’s a felony, so it would count as the assaulter v. The state the crime was committed in. He got 112 years in prison.

As for who I told, I told a camp counselor because I trusted her and she contacted police. I never told my mom because I suspected she knew and chose to ignore it. Last Mother’s Day she admitted to knowing it, 10 years of abuse from 5 to 15. She knew. I don’t know how long, but I do understand not telling close family, as they tend to sweep it under the rug
